I didn't read anything controversial to get so defensive about, they correctly point out that the console is humongous. The PS5 will be too and the size isn't going to stop anyone buying a console, it's simply an observation.......relax.

I hate to be negative, lots of people probably worked hard on this remake but unfortunately the game looks to be the victim of a very limited budget to me. The art style is actually quite nice but for me, it's the character models and particularly the eyes and facial expressions that look dated to me.

I can look past this to a degree provided the game plays well so there is still a degree of anticipation for me if the game reviews well.

Thanks for the heads up I have my eye on Hades too, always good to hear of gamers enjoying games I am excited to play.

Agreed, I was really digging the art style, thought this looked pretty great.

Congrats Xbox fans, some concrete news to get excited about at last, new consoles are super exciting.

Let's hope PlayStation fans get to join in with some exciting news soon too.

If it lives up to standards of the original, which looks to be certain, then you are in for a treat, it is a fabulous game.

Microsoft's naming conventions have been abysmal for a while in my honest opinion. You can reference any PS generation quickly and easily, it may not be particularly original, but a simple numbering system works PlayStation 1 through 5 is easy to understand.

Alternatively, go for a naming convention where each product is clearly different such as, N64, Game cube, Wii and Switch. It's fair to discuss the merits of the names themselves of course, but look at Nintend...

I'd rather spend on a Switch than this to be honest, Switch already has a great library and, if you are willing to make concessions in respect of performance (which I assume you are if you are going for a budget Xbox), then it's Switch all the way for me.

Honestly, I don't know who is buying this, Xbox basically sells to its established fans (for the most part), they are going full fat on their next Xbox console, they ain't buying this weaker console.

A weak product is a weak product, regardless of price in my opinion. It is interesting that all we ever hear from Xbox and their more extreme contingent is that power matters most, honestly, over the years how many times have we heard 'the most powerful console' statements from them? Now suddenly they change tack completely.

Honestly couldn't give two hoots about what the self proclaimed games experts on Internet forums try to tell the rest of us about Nintendo products being poor, I'll be joining the millions of others enjoying these 3D Mario games in a couple of weeks.

You have to wonder why Nintendo games are so popular with such large audiences...... Either, it an International conspiracy by journalists around the globe doing Nintendo's bidding or....... millions upon millions ...

Or maybe, the community here on N4G is not representative of the wider gaming community and average gamers don't care about resolutions, superior PC emulated versions and all that jazz. They are just content to own these classic games on their Switch and aren't on forums all day moaning about dumb shit that doesn't matter.

I played it again around 3 years ago on WiiU and it held up beautifully, it is a fantastic game all around, but boy oh boy do I love the music. I'd jump at the chance to play again on Switch.

Yup, Gamepass forms the main strand of MS's strategy in the games market for one reason only, they have no choice. Outside of their hardcore audience nobody cares about MS as a games company and the few franchises they did have of any note have been driven into the ground.

You simply cannot compare MS's offerings with the Nintendo library. I think its fair to say Nintendo should do more to make their classic library available to gamers, but I see no reason why they...

I was never a fan of motion controls on Wii, but honestly I never had a problem with the Mario Galaxy controls, within half hour I was utterly absorbed by the game.

Having said that, I am excited to play Galaxy on my Pro Controller.

If you honestly believe that each of the Mario games are mere rehashes of what's gone before then I don't know what to tell you squire. The only thing the 3d Mario games have in common is the lead character, but otherwise they are independently fantastic games, each loaded with its own unique mechanics.

As for new games recently, it's fair to say that this year has been a little light on new exclusives, but previous years have been pretty good, certainly Ninten...

I can understand a little of the disappoint with the earlier games not getting the full remake treatment, of course this is something we would all love.

But, at the same time, people had built this expectation out of nothing more than an unconfirmed rumour and some are now acting like Nintendo had failed to deliver on something they had promised. Ultimately, they are simply offering a chance for millions upon millions of gamers, many of who weren't even borne when the ...

As someone who missed out on Mario 64 and Mario Sunshine I am super excited to play the Mario 3D collection. I cannot wait to replay Galaxy again too.

My PC is 4 years old now and pretty long in the tooth, although it plays everything I want it to really well still (Football Manager, Kerbal and a host of strategy/RTS games).

Regardless, I have been looking at buying a new PC, I think I will wait till these cards are available now, they seem to be offering real bang for you buck.

rlow1, do you really think they would sit through all that negative press around Halo if they had a few surprises up their sleeves?

Trust me, if they had other games 'cooking', we would have heard about it by now.
