I am a massive From Software fan and I think each new game they make looks better than their last however, I think you are right, in respect of graphics, their games simply dont compare to what BluePoint have achieved here.

That's not to say From Software games aren't good looking and I definitely think FromSoftware are unrivaled in respect of their art design, but for graphical presentation BluePoint really have blown the competition out of the water in my opinion....

I might understand your perspective if all the other reviews were mediocre, but this score seems to line up with plenty of others awarded by multiplatform based sites.

It is fab in PSVR for sure, but I think the music and the way it interacts with the gameplay elevates Tetris Effect above being just another Tetris game personally.

Fundamentally disagree with the notion that a short game should be limited in its cost. I would rather pay full price for a high quality game at 8-10 hours length than I would a 20 hour mediocre game.

Ooooooohhhh, once you get one Platinum its a slippery slope mate, you wont be able to stop hahhaha!

Excited to hear the game is this good, cannot wait to find out for myself later in the week. Good luck on your future platinum hunts :)

Hmmmm, not quite sure what the reviewer expected from this game, it was always billed as an update to the original Tetris Effect I thought. I love this game in PSVR with a good set of headphones on, sensory overload :)

Really nice review, as someone who did import the game from Hong Kong back in the day, before it was eventually brought to the EU, I could relate to a lot of the points raised in the review.

Seems like another contender for Game of the Year for many outlets I suspect. Sony seem to be off to a flying start where quality exclusives are concerned and I cannot wait to find out how good it is for myself on Thursday.

Personally, I enjoy the Assassin Creed games, I acknowledge they have flaws and that they can be formulaic however, I happen to really enjoy that formula. Exploring a map checking off icons, in a world set in an interesting period of history is just perfect, easy to consume, video game content too me.

Those typical launch fodder titles sure are getting decent reviews. Saying that you are not a fan of Assassin Creed or Call of Duty games is one thing, but suggesting they are poor games is a bit silly really.

PS3 actually overtook the 360 in the UK dude.

Quick resume may be a useful feature for now given so many games will be cross generation however, a year from now, when every new release is optimised to exploit SSD fully, those load times will render quick resume largely obsolete. It is a cool feature for sure, I am not trying to undervalue how cool a feature it is, but I cannot honestly say that its absence on PS5 is an issue for me either.

I too liked a browser, mainly for watching premium video content from a gaming website I subscribe too. I suppose I can go back to 'casting' the vids to my TV from my tablet, but they always start at 100% volume which is a real pain in the neck, I have to sit there with TV remote in hand ready to jam on the volume down button :)

Far from a big deal, dont get me wrong, but I would like to have seen a browser too personally.

Another success for Push Square, get traffic by releasing a negative story based on one unverified video.

Exactly chief.

Its the same with anything that has a following in my experience, there are always those who adopt an entrenched position that 'the original was better' or this stupid snobbery that 'you people new to this thing don't have a clue about the original source'. For example, I recall forum threads with people rubbishing the Lord of the Rings movies back in the day because they considered themselves experts in the books etc.

That isn't true fella, I bought mine from Blockbuster and had to return it the next day, along with my copy of Gears of War as the disk drive had scored small circles into the disk. My console was placed in a TV cabinet the whole time.

The fact that Netflix still isn't profitable after all this time, despite their dominant market share, should give everyone a good idea of how poor of a business model subscription is if you are doing it properly. Netflix's expenses for licencing and massive expenditure on making their own content has meant investors have still not seen a profit. The thing that makes Netflix so good, is also the thing that makes it unsustainable.

As far as I am concerned, Gamepass...

Me too, although I am still excited as I received emails this morning to confirm my order (A console with Demon Souls, Spidey Ultimate Ed and Assassins Creed) has left the warehouse and is now with the courier ready for delivery next week.

I honestly cannot wait for Demons Souls, my favourite genre of games! Just a week to go!

I completely disagree, this is how Sony cement their reputation, the sales of Last of Us and Tsushima were completely unaffected by their close launch dates, they both sold by the boat load and, having released these games in that manner, developed a massive amount of buzz and good will from consumers who couldn't believe how impressive Sony's track record was in respect of its exclusive content.

If Horizon and God of War launched a couple of months apart they would...
