To be fair, you can level a lot of those accusations at MS as well. I am pretty confident that models are in the hands of relevant people at this stage.

Same here, I registered and interest back in March with Shopto, I think it charged a nominal fee of 1p but I certainly didn't pay for the console and I have my confirmation email. I am not here to promote Shopto, but they really have always delivered for me, can't recommend enough......much prefer to give my cash to a UK online game retailer than the likes of those tax dodging mega corps like Amazon too.

Yup, I imported my original Demon Souls from China back in the day as there was a time when it looked like other territories would not get a release. Fell in love with the genre from that moment on.

This sounds a bit niche, but I really want to hear their version of the Fat Official's laugh from the Stonefang tunnels. I adore that sound sample, I am immediately transported back to playing that game all those years ago 😂

Mine used to turn up early too, but that seems really rare this days. Not a huge deal I dont suppose, as long as they turn up for release day.

Registered an interest back in March, as soon as the option became available. I do recognise I am lucky, sincerely hope every fan who wants one gets one.

I am considering giving mine up to a pal who is desperate for one for his young son for Christmas, but it will kill me not playing Demon Souls at launch.

Guess you are just unlucky because I have never had anything but good service from Shopto. My Mario Allstars and Tony Hawk Remastered turned up on the day of release just a few weeks ago.

I order 2 or 3 games a month and the only game I recall going missing was Devil May Cry 4, so that is going back what, 8 years?

Shopto have been super reliable for me.

Got my email from Shopto today confirming my pre order, I couldnt be happier, Shopto have never failed me yet, fair play.

Sorry to hear some are missing out, i hope UK retailers get news of more allocations shortly.

Disappointing that we can't just enjoy a conversation without elements of the N4G community being so toxic.

Personally I think PS5 takes the best launch lineup title, although PS3 was pretty good in my opinion. I loved Motorstorm to bits, so much fun online; then there was Resistance which was really good at the time and I also really enjoyed Heavenly Sword, which I guess came in on the fringes of what passes for a launch window.

But ultimately, I do...

If its true that MS identified affected people and sorted out a pre oder for them, then I give MS full credit, that is really good customer service, especially considering this mess wasn't of MS's making in the first place.

Sammy Barker finally turned Push Square into just another site looking for clicks, what a shame. As a Brit I used to enjoy the site but since it started drawing in more and more of an audience from N4G its has definitely changed.

People outraged because they want free stuff drive me nuts, it's not a simple upres, if Insomniac have put thousands of hours into this version, then why should the be expected to give it away? Its an old game, relatively speaking and when I bought it, I did so to play it on PS4, I got what I paid for.

Push Square used to be fairly decent but recently I feel like they have realised that this kind of negativity is getting them lots of attention on N4G.

I honestly dont think Sony should feel any pressure resulting from the Bethesda acquisition.

Sony still have the most talented stable of developers with proven track records and in my opinion, they still leave MS far behind despite their recent Bethesda purchase.

You dont have to look back very far to find articles commenting on Bethesda's serious issues with quality and problems with making games that sold well. Dont get me wrong, they have picked u...

I see that 'parents buying a Series S' theory so many times and it just doest hold up to scrutiny. That rationale stems from the 80s and 90s when gaming was much less mainstream and before the internet came of age.

The average gamer is now in there mid 30s and these days parents are much more savvy in respect of consumer electronics or at least, know how to use the internet to research what they are buying. The only demographic I can see falling into the trap of b...

Firstly, I completely agree that this was a bombshell and I can totally see why Xbox fans are hyped. After I saw the news I thought well, that's it, I'll definately be buying an Xbox at some point and that's the first time I have had that thought since E3 2016.

I would just caution however, that Bethesda aren't the studio they once were and many on their studios have seen their games met with lukewarm receptions or issues around quality. Before this news b...

I am indifferent to the Mario64 because, to be honest, it simply doesn't hold up. As someone with no nostalgia for Mario64 (I never played it back in the day) and despite being a big fan of Mario, I think it plays like shit compared to modern Mario games.

I am not sure that up-scaling or changing the aspect ratio would have helped much, a full remaster is what was needed, to the same kind of standard as Crash, Spyro or Shadow of the Colossus.

Pretty pleased with how Sunshine and Galaxy look to be honest, just shows how good Nintendo's art direction is.

I don't like PubG (or Fortnight for that matter) but the fact remains, without the huge success of PubG there would be no Fortnight, Apex Legends or Warzone. Nobody is claiming PubG did it first, but it was certainly the first game of its kind to go mainstream the way it did and it is responsible for all the others that came afterwards looking for a slice of the pie.

Literally cannot wait to play this game, simply adored the original game and this look utterly insane. May well be the 1st game I play on PS5.

Not to be pedantic, but generation defining means something completely different to 'favourite games of the generation'.

Personally, I would say PubG takes top spot this generation, it popularised the whole battle royale genre of games.
