That really isnt fair, if you want to be reductive you could describe almost any game in simplistic terms like that.
... astic game, hope this gets a bunch more people into the game.

The game wasnt perfect and I agree to an extent that it was a little bloated however, it was still a really solid game and didn't deserve the treatment it received from games websites.
The issues with Days Gone in respect of open world bloat are just as prevalent in most other open world games but these same commentators ignore it when they choose. Just look at the critical reception of Valhalla, my god that game is so bloated with repetitive content and a needlessly l...
Dont forget Days Gone, despite a determined attempt by games commentators (I refuse to use the term journalists!) to damage the sales of that game, it went on to sell by the bucket load.
When you consider how good Sony's exclusive content was on PS3, it is bonkers to think that they improved on that performance in the PS4 generation. Lets hope that the trend continues and PS5 improves on the PS4 exclusive library, although I have to say, I don't think we need to ho...
So much game for 40 quid chief, it's a real belter. If you liked the last couple of Assassins Creed games you will love Valhalla.
This kind of story just demonstrates how fantastic Naughty Dog's reputation for quality and talent is. Every time there is a staff change at ND, something that goes completely unreported at other companies, it gets covered in games media.
@Aussie
I cannot be bothered to fetch a definition for you, but goodwill is an accepted concept which denotes a companies reputation with their customer base.
Put simply, I was suggesting that these latest issues will damage that goodwill.
There are different ways of making money, you can do so as a company without any negative perspectives. CD Project Red were making millions from Witcher for example, but they did so in such a way that their cu...
Merrin, you literally changed your mind over the course of 2 posts??
From 'no chance of buying it' to 'I will wait till the new year'.
CD Project have certainly damaged their reputation, which is such a shame but I dont think I would go as far as suggesting I never want to play Cyberpunk. No question, they will lose a lot of good will from their fans as it is immediately apparent that they essentially hid the PS4/XB1 versions because they knew how undercooked they were, what a stupid move.
Despite all of the issues, I am still bursting to play this game but much like Sully, I am looking to hold on until th...
Agreed, my own view is that the production values of their reviews are the best in the business, Jones is the voice of video games for me, dating all the way back to the GameTrailers days.
Importantly though, as someone who consumes almost all of their content, I have grown to know each of the reviewers personalities, their likes and dislikes and importantly, whose tastes are similar to my own when giving weight to their reviews.
Easy Allies seem like suc...
I am not American and I like Keanu Reeves just fine. While movies like The Matrix or the John Wick series don't require serious acting chops per se, his commitment to the roles made the movies the success they are, what with the countless hours of martial art and firearm training for example. It's also worth noting that he is, by all accounts, a genuinely humble and kind individual, the nicest guy in Hollywood many say.
He is revered because these recent John Wick...
Ausbo, I agree chief, it is the likes of Arkane that I would miss if they went exclusive. Bethesda studios games however, are completely hit or miss and the reality is, Skyrim was the last time they really wowed anyone.
10 years ago I might have agreed with you, but Bethesda are well past their best as a developer. If it weren't for some of their published games that I really enjoyed, such as Wolfenstein and Evil Within, I honestly wouldn't care if Bethesda games became exclusive personally.
FF7 was good, but for me, its success was borne out of nostalgia as much as it's own intrinsic qualities.
FF7 Remake was a really good game, but I was left cold by the time I finished it because the story was so ridiculous and I has almost no clue what was going on over the last 3 hours of the game.
I have never had an emotional reaction to a game to the same degree as Last of Us 2. Not just from the trauma when different characters die, but happines...
We are human beings and everything anyone does will be influenced by their own experiences and beliefs etc.
What people like you usually mean is devs should leave politics out of games if the politics leanings are different from my own.
The only "message" I took from this game was how tragic the story was and ultimately how damaging retribution can be.
Remake, reboot......whatever, it still smacks of MS playing it extremely safe and being unwilling to take any risks. MS will never compete with Sony if they dont commit to making brand new games to keep things fresh.
The main criticism of MS is the over reliance on the same old games series, the answer is not to make games in some less recent franchises like Fable or Perfect Dark, the answer is to blow gamers minds with brand new, exciting IP.
I cannot help but feel that this is another sign of Xbox' lack of ambition. They create a brand new team which they big up to fans for years and then play it massively safe by having this new dev team work on a remake of a somewhat popular franchise.
Make something new MS, this is why Sony is spanking you. While Sony also sign off on sequels to, they also create brand new games to keep fans excited.
A new Perfect Dark game is kinda exciting, but if t...
I respect the devs to a point, given how great Witcher 3 turned out eventually, however, the way they have handled the release of Cyberpunk has been really poor, in my opinion.
As far as I am concerned, going gold with a product in this state is indefensible. People often buy physical copies to try and avoid hefty downloads, so relying on day one patches, especially patches of this size, makes the physical copy utterly pointless for many.
They should ha...
Fabulous game, if a little repetitive. I am 85 hours in and have completed 8 of the 11 territories as I am mopping everything up before moving onto the next teritorry whenever possible. I am now finding I am having to freshen my pallet, so to speak, so I have been mixing in some Ori on my Switch to freshen things up after I complete each region of Valhalla.
