So Druckmann, a game dev recognised as being one of the key driving forces behind the change in direction at Naughty Dog, moving from pulpy stories (which I love before anyone gets defensive) to more grounded, character driven stories, is unpopular because of a 'theory' that he forced someone to leave the company?
What utter bunk, how about sticking with facts and not some Internet drivel, he is a key figure in helping ND move up to the next level of story telling i...
Number 8. It only has one game?
Just joshing :/
I am loving Horizon, for me it's one of the best games I have played in a long, long time.
I will eventually pick up Zelda for the WiiU as I have zero interest in picking up a Switch. I will not be so quick to buy a Nintendo machine again, I bought maybe 6 games for my WiiU, it just sits there gathering dust and I am not willing to dump down a wedge of cash for the privilege of playing such a small selection of games, no matter how good they might be.
If you are going to comment on the educational merits of others you really should address your poor grammar.
Really under appreciated title in my opinion, I had such a good time with it when it released. While not as good as the earlier Infamous titles and despite a kind of unlikeable protagonist, I think the game is still a cracker with fantastic production values and brilliant game play.
I am not sure that there has ever been a single game, that one title, that sells a console on its own.
As a Sony fan since the beginning, it's the promise of all the games you know are coming that sells me on the console on day one. I know from their track record that I will get regular, hugely varied exclusive games. I think it's possible that a particular game can tip you over the edge into buying a console, but I believe it's the sum of the full catalogue a...
Love me an Assassins Creed game, despite what anyone says, I have enjoyed them all immensely with the exception of AC3, although I still finished AC3 too.
Will be all over this one like a rash, love Egyptian history and so I reckon I'll get some real enjoyment out of it.
Certainly in the discussion for me, an utterly brilliant game.
Well done squire, you really must have poured some hours in to get the Platinum so soon after release.
I like the idea of getting the Platinum in this too, but Horizon, Persona and Neir are all well and truly on my radar.
Sonic was SEGA's child oncentre upon a time, this is Nintendo last hurrah in the hardware field, if it bombs like WiiU you just never know.
Can't wait to play this next week, I need to crack on with Nioh this weekend, I think I am around 2/3 of the way through. I don't want to rush Nioh but I can't see me sticking Horizon on the shelf while I finish Nioh off.
So pleased for Guerrilla Games and Sony, another great exclusive to the catalogue, I hope it sells as well as it deserves too.
They deliver games, regularly and of a quality XB1 can only dream of, that is all that matters to me.
I remember the E3 with all the games and hololense, I remember all those promises, despite telling myself I would never buy another xbox I gave MS the benefit of the doubt and bought anew XB1. The only game that delivered (in my opinion) was Ori and I could have played this on my PC, a year later they announce they are putting everything on PC. It's pretty hard to to feel like I was duped into spending that money, particularly as I have a PC.
MS have a proven track re...
I wont give this article the clicks, but my reaction to the headline is one of bemusement. There is only one platform in the industry that regularly churns out new IP after new IP and that is Sony. Whether its Nino Kuni or Ico, Bloodborne or Journey, Odin Sphere or Heavy Rain, Sony are the one who take risks and release games that they know will be niche.
I loved that game when it came out but the idea that several big sites are having to give this coverage to have some content for XB1 is quite telling I think.
As someone who imported Demons Souls from Japan before it was announced for the EU, as someone who adored each of the Dark Souls games and platinumed Bloodborne I can promise you, this game is utterly brilliant and more than justifies the comparisons to the Souls games.
I would argue the combat is more nuanced and technical, so it plays slightly differently to the Souls games, but once you adapt to that you will be right at home. The setting and artstyle, the Japanese myth...
I don't play multilayer so can't comment on that, but I really enjoyed the campaign this year, I loved the robot character, Ethan, especially. It looked spectacular on Pro with HDR too with some really nice weapons to play with.
I agree though, Activision are showing a real lack of understanding about what gamers want, it doesn't take an analyst to recognise that more and more people are getting tired of annual releases, Ubisoft recognised it with Assassins Cre...
It's quite simple, the more high quality, desirable games Playstation keep exclusive the more reason people have to buy the system. The more popular the Playstation, the more software we will see from Sony.
It's not about fan boys, I don't care what other people are playing and where they play it, I do care that Playstation continues to be successful though, and exclusives help drive that success.
Sony's track record of providing great exclusive content is the number 1 reason I buy Playstation consoles on release and why I love the Playstation brand.
While I don't get caught up in fanboy wars, I am more than happy that Sony provide fantastic exclusive content which grows the strength and success a platform that I hold dear; success breeds success in my opinion. Like others have said, want to play all these utterly incredible games, buy the console.
Personally, I am excited to play BotW but will be playing on WiiU, I am not touching another Nintendo machine until they demonstrate it will be properly supported.
Once I catch up on my PS4 games I will deffo be jumping into Zelda, it looks fantastic and I never get hung up on performance so those issues are minor for me. Having said that, I do think it's unfair that it gets a free pass in reviews with regards to its performance and weak graphical fidelity given that p...
