I don't see any benefit in making a sequel more bloody or gruesome, just for the sake of it. Tonally, visually and atmospherically the first game was absolutely perfect, not once did I think to myself, I need to see more blood and guts.
As a fan of the series I couldn't disagree more. Unity was set a really in a massively important and very interesting period in history and the character was pretty damn cool. There were a few issues with bugs and performance but I played it at release and experienced nothing at all that spoilt my enjoyment of the game.
I didn't give two hoots about the multiplayer but it was a feature that you could choose to ignore so that's what I did; although there were a...

Actually, piracy was more of an issue in the Mediterranean Sea rather than on the Nile itself, with the various sea people's from the likes of the Hittites, Persians and even pirates from Crete and Greece roaming the coasts attacking ships and coastal towns.
I am not sure that it will be that much of a coup for whoever gets the deal, the popularity of the AC games is in decline really.
I guess you have to figure Sony would be the most attractive option for UBI given there dominance in market share however, MS are quite desperate these days so I wouldn't be surprised to see MS pushing a "look how well this runs on Scorpio" narrative in an advertising campaign.
I personally enjoyed Unity, that period of history is extremely interesting and the world they built was fantastic. I had maybe 2 or 3 bugs in the entire 40 hours I played it, the hate that game got is completely out of proportion to the quality of the game; while it wasn't the best game in the series, it was still a decent game.
Syndicate is a flipping brilliant game and a was a real return to form in my opinion. As something of a history buff, it's the worlds th...
Agreed, I don't see anything here that suggests there is a naval combat as per Blackflag. While piracy was a huge problem in this period of history, it was all about archery and boarding vessels and I don't see how that can translate into fun gameplay compared to the combat in Blackflag.
No surprise really, mobile is king in Japan so a mobile games device of this quality was always going to do well. If I had a daily commute I would be jumping in too, as it stands though, it will take the release of a few more 1st party titles before I can justify getting involved.....I can't see me missing out on Mario in November so I am hoping for a decent bundle then.
Shame he us such an scumbag because thus is actually kind of funny.

How is the game 'shoe horning' anything in if the intention is to tell different stories based in the WW2 theatre of war?
COD games have leapt between different characters in previous games, so what is so different here? The sacrifices made by that generation were almost beyond comprehension, but the sacrifices weren't only made by white Americans.
Women did fight in the French resistance and faced awful torture and execution when caught, why...
I know they get a lot of hate these days, but I adored the worlds created in the Assassins Creed games.
Fair enough, not everyone enjoys the same things to the same degree.
The thing I take issue with in respect of this review personally, is the idea that the story was "lackluster" in any way. For me, I was utterly engrossed in the story and couldn't wait to discover the reason behind the fall of humanity, I found it to be a really cool story in the end, infact, it's up there with some of my favourite sci-fi settings in movies or games.
Of the games I have played this year, nothing topped the game play of Nioh, what an incredible game. Close behind is Horizon for me and that is followed up with Persona 5.
I poured 75 hours into Nioh and have a massive urge to go back for another play through, I platinum-ed Horizon and couldn't put it down, clocking in at around 55 hours when I was done.
I love everything about Persona 5 however, I am finding myself losing momentum at the moment, hav...
Have Nier sat sealed on my shelf along with a sealed copy of Gravity Rush 2. I can't wait to get stuck into Nier once I wrap up Personal 5. The buzz surrounding it has made me really excited to play it, what a time to be a gamer!
As usual, someone makes some utter bullshit up and the Internet loses its collective mind. The developers have come out and categorically denied that any animal rights considerations were involved in dropping this character.
If this doesn't demonstrate how quickly people overeact nothing does, those of you condemning SJW'so for every perceived slight are just as bad as the extremists at the other end of the spectrum.
Microsoft doesn't get a free pass for its lack of exclusives, why shouldo Nintendo? Now I'll grant you, MarioKart and Splatoon 2 looks like fun titles, but to suggest any of the other titles you mentioned are mainstream, blockbuster games is delusional.
I personally have to believe it will fly off the shelves as people will be chomping at the bit to buy another title for the console given the lack of retail releases at the moment.
Their tax affairs in the UK (and Europe) are well known, they route their business through Ireland or Luxembourg and pay a pittance in taxes. All the mega corporations are at it and our government let them get away with it because they (our ruling classes and politicians) all take advantage of the same legal loopholes.

The only interpretation of this that makes any sense is perhaps that Amazon's planned consignment of the title has already sold out. It's simple enough to address though, they simply do what any other retailer does and order more copies.
I suppose it is interesting to note that pre orders are so high that they exceeded Amazon's expectations, it bodes well for Rockstar.........and just think of all that tax Amazon get to dodge too, lovely jubly!
I found the Old Hunters much tougher than Bloodborne, if you struggled with Bloodborne you might want to mentally prepare yourself for Old Hunters :)
