No real suprise to me, just anecdotaly from my wide range of colleagues, only 2 have an XB1 compared to some 20 that game together on PlayStation.
The biggest indication however, is the complete bullshit PR Microsoft target us with, no facts, just lies and halftruths that everyone but the most blinkered xbox fan can see through.
Still waiting for them to deliver on all their other hyped up promises.......where are the cloud supported games that will multiply the power of the console? Where are the amazing Kinect experiences, where are all the new games the constantly touted 'greatest games lineup in Xbox history' promised, where is Hololense?
Their track record for talking utter bollocks is unsurpassed, hell, just look at their PR when the outsold PS for a few months in the US by a few th...
Absolutely squire, the things you mentioned really make me want to play it again on my Pro, even though I earned the plat a few months ago.
Watched Jeff on GiantBomb play this quite a bit over Christmas and have to say I thought it looked really great, Jeff is quite hard to please and he seemed fairly hooked.
If I didnt have such a backlog and multiple titles I am excited for every month for the next 5 months, I would deffo give this a try.
I dont think anything came close to Uncharted 4 this year personally. I hear it's detractors saying that its all production values with little gameplay but I think that is utter nonsense, the story, gameplay and locations had me hooked from tbe start.
I actually ended up reading a couple of books about the history of piracy and famous pirates having played the game, thats how sucked into the story I became.
Something they (Naughty Dog) never get prai...
Agree with most of the points you made squire, the problem with N4G is that you can never have a mature conversation about sexual orientation or race in games without people getting defensive and accusing devs of giving in to SJW's.
I guess its a case of N4G reflecting the state of the attitudes of the population in general.
I think this article is simply riffing on the release of ff15 and Làst Guardian, for me, if we were referencing the likes of Bloodborne, a Beyonetta or a Darksouls I would agree but in my opinion Ff15 is totally over rated, with the most generic and boring quests I have played in an Rpg in a long time. I am excited to play Last Guardian though.
For me, Japanese games didn't need to make a comeback, they never dropped off in the first place. Whether it's any ...
I can see what you are getting at Fishfingers, but never forget that 4K really is just a marketing term for consumers to latch onto as quoting detailed resolutions and numbers will never sell a TV, satellite subscription or videogame.
To that end, I think stating a resolution on the back of a games box will not mean much to the average gamer and certainly wont mean anything to casuals and 'young Billy's mum who's buying a game for her kid'. 4K on the otherh...
Singapore dollars are quoted in the article. 50ish US dollars for 3 great games seems reasonable enough.
Those are Singapore dollars, works out at around 50 bucks from what I can see.
See how you feel after 50+ hours of super repetitive, boring, story-less questing.
The game is getting a free pass as far as overlooking repetetive mission structures go, particularly when lots of games are slammed for being repetetive.
Really impressed with this list to be honest, there is nothing click bait-y about it, just a list of really awesome games.
While there are some ommisions and inclusions I would disagree with, if you take the personal taste of the writer(s) into account you cannot really argue, every game is a belter.
The Last of Us, Bloodborne and Uncharted 3 make my top 3, but boy is Dark Souls close too. I was interested and pleased to see that the list leaned towards...
@zbennett
I am not saying I am right buddy, just one opinion in the sea of many.
I would say that why should we compromise, a good story, meaninful character development and good gameplay are not mutually exclusive after all.
I just feel that the banal nature of the story and side quests has not been addressed in this, and many other reviews. Considering the genre, story is surely a key feature, especially if you are putting 80 hours in.
I love the RPG genre so have a high threshold when it comes to completing side quests etc.
After 50 hours I have completed around half of the story chapters, I have spent most of my time doing the sidequest stuff. Something this review and many others are giving FF15 a free pass on is just how terrible the sidequests are, they really are the worst kind of boring, MMO style fetchquests, they honestly have no story driving them; go here pick 5 of these up.....go to the othe...
Those mmo side quests are infuriating, its got to the point where I want to kill that arsehole photo magazine guy....the side quests are absolutely terrible in this game, so repetetive with no story behind them whatsoever.
Also, the combat system is quite repetitive and weak with no real strategy. No way does the combat stack up against FF7, FF8 or even FF13 in my opinion.
Its a good game for sure, but I personally feel it is very repetitive and that, while it has a nice artstyle, the world is quite boring with nothing much to discover if you go exploring.
Be giving them away before long. How far will it have to go before they realise its games and variety that matter and not sales or power or dodgy advertising practices.
The world is getting dumber, non celebs on the TV, talentless berks are the most popular youtuber's and a bullying moron gets to be president
Its a shame because I felt like gaming culture was moving forward to mainstream acceptance but this kind of anus makes all gamers look idiotic and childish.
Opinion stuff is only 'fun' to the reader if it's well written, well reasoned and in my opinion, delivers a positive point or message.
If you want to do a good piece on being excited for Scorpio then fine but all this site does is to stoke the fires of controversy by knocking out clearly biased, negativity laced articles.
A fun article would talk about their excitement for a product without needlessy setting out to shit on a competing product....
