I have worked in various environments over the years, from retail, to industry to office work and you better believe, flipping out and going on a tirade, particularly a racist one, would have always resulted in repercussions from HR.
As someone who switched to primarily gaming on PC for a good 5 -10 years in the late 1990's through the early 2000's I can remember these same kinds of industry analysts and journalists stating that consoles were going to kill off the PC, particularly where the PS2 was smashing it.
They were wrong there, and I have been hearing the 'last generation of consoles' bullshit for at least 10 years and again, they seem wide of the mark here too. The idea that th...
I am based in the UK, my original phat PS3 got the yellow light within the warranty period and the service was excellent.
Following a few calls to Sony and running a few tests they arranged for a replacement. A courier turned up with a sealed container which he opened in front of me and handed me a replacement console in exchange for my duffer.
If they were billing you I suspect it was outside of the warranty period and therefore, what do you expect, it ...
@anubis
A quote from above
Because in todays SJW culture white male = the devil and is public enemy #1. According to these people everything wrong with the world is because of white males. That is even enforced in colleges/universities which has became a breading ground of fascists/socialists. That is why I will not be sending my daughter to an American collage. Don't need her to be brainwashed against me. She will attend a university in Europe inste...
Out of interest then, what you consider to be a role that 'fits'. As far as I am aware, women make up 50 percent of the population and serve in our police forces and in our military, in our scientific communities and in our educational communities, they are capable of performing almost any role that a male does. With that in mind, what roles should they be excluded from in movies and video games?
You really do have a chip on your shoulder Anubis.
Whether you like it or not, there is nobody 'oppressing' you, society is evolving, more and more people are recognising the role women and minorities play in society at large so it's only natural that this will be reflected in the various media we consume.
Look at the boards of western corporations and also political parties and they are overwhelmingly dominated by white males, you feeling ha...
It is so apparent that Nintendo just seek to gouge there fan based, whether it's on peripherals or software, they really do shaft gamers. You better believe MS or Sony would be criticised for these kinds of pricing practices, why should Nintendo get away with it?
Ohhhhh baby! Love the Hotshots games, hope they don't lean into the online at the expense of the single player.
This isn't casting for a movie, it's cosplay by fans of the game, I think it's pretty great personally.
Make no mistake, Scorpio is only releasing as MS are backed into a corner and are desperate to be relevant again.
To me, Sony have delivered in every conference since the one where they announced the PS4, they have consistently dominated whichever event they attend. It's just game after game after game, they seem to know precisely what they are doing as far as conferences go, the only one they fumbled was the Pro reveal, but that was always going to be a tough sell.
The Nintendo ones have been pretty dreadful really, while its exciting to see a new Mario or Zelda, the rest of the...
Well all the messaging from MS is that it very much is an incremental upgrade rather than an entirely new console, I didn't refer to Scorpio being incremental in a pejorative way, thats just the way it is being marketed.
If PS5 is due out in the 2018/early 2019 I think getting that out there will definitely have a cooling effect on the inevitable PR coverage around Scorpio. It adds that 'PS5 confirmed and what will it's specs be like' counterpoint to the S...
SSX Tricky would be kinda awesome too, my favourite arcade sports title, even above Tony Hawk 3.
Whenever PS5 is due, I would be sure to mention it at E3 and at PSX, just put it in the public conciousness that PS5 is only a year or two away. It might just be enough to take the edge off the Scorpio with a kind of message of 'why buy an incremental upgrade now when you can get a next gen console in the not too distant future'.
Looks fantastic, I am super excited for this.
Agreed, I will wait because, as you point out MS drop the price of their hardware a lot. Secondary to this, I want to wait to see how committed they are to new titles this time around and so will wait until the back catalogue reaches a point where I can justify making a purchase.
I bought my XB1 on the strength of their E3 showing 3 years ago when they had that awesome conference with loads of games, cloud and Hololense. Since then their implementation of the Cloud is non-existent, Hololense will never see a commercial release and half the games they showed were scrapped and the rest were relatively disappointing and all of them are now on PC. Just like the 360 days, it's Halo, Gears and Forza on repeat.
I just don't know that I can affor...
I care about games, not resolution. All MS have demonstrated by pushing the Scorpio is that they still refuse to invest in decent 1st and 2nd party titles and instead are seeking to change the narrative because they know they cannot compete with Sony on the games front.
You are grossly misinformed pal, Giantbomb exist purely because they are honest with their reviews. The founder of the Site, Jeff Gerstman was fired from Gamespot because he refused to change his review when advertisers threatened Gamespot with pulling their advertising money if they didn't give a higher score.
He took Brad Shoemaker (the reviewer of this game) with him, just because you haven't heard of them it doesn't mean they are a small concern. They are...
Spot on squire, it's the same with Naughty Dog for me too, I buy their games day one without considering reviews and will continue to do so until they give me a reason not to trust them.
