I don't think this is a product you market to the mainstream, the audience here is the more hard-core gamer or Playstation user. I saw loads of Playstation 5 advertising this week as it is European club football competition week again, so huge crowds at the dozens of games, millions upon millions watching on the telly. All of whome would have seen the electronic advertising billboards emblazoned with PS5 signage.

The progression in the game is super satisfying I found, with delivery locations that used to be really time consuming to reach becoming a breeze when you set up better transport links and skylines later on. I use my PS5 for around 7 hours a day, every day, whether gaming or consuming other media. To my mind, 700 quid is more than I would like to pay, but still offers incredible value for money if I get 4 years or so out of it.
I know lists are super subjective, but that is a dreadful list and something of an indictment of Xbox shite output over the last 15 years if you are having to go back that far to find anything worthwhile.
If I could get the Ori games on PS5 I'd be delighted. I can play them on my PC and I have them physically on Switch but playing them on my OLED telly on PS5 would be great.

I can kinda see what the guy is saying, generally speaking I tend to move on after I finish a game, even with games I really adored.
I find that I usually come back a couple of years later and replay the original game again before jumping into the new content.
I think problems with mainstream reviews is not exclusive to this game. The issue as I see it is that huge swathes of the games media are all interacting with each other, they are often personal friends, appear on each other's podcasts and as a result, are never truly independent in their thoughts and opinions.

In my opinion, the metrics that would be really interesting are increases in subscriptions to Gamepass and sales (on XBox) compared to gamepass download ratios, but I doubt MS will ever be that open. Much better to put out vague laudatory statements like they have here.

I don't know how many stories about the cost and complexity of game development need to be published, as well as the impact of COVID basically putting everything back by 18 months before folk understand why games haven't been as quick to release.
Besides which, the remasters are being published by 3rd party devs for the most part; in this case Guerrilla have been working on their unannounced title whilst Nixxies put out this remake.
As Mr Dead has already stated, you cannot overlook the huge consolidation undertaken by MS and the fact they told the EU commission that there would be no lay offs. That is the thing that's sets MS apart from the competition in my view.

I never really got into Dragon Age so this isn't high on my list of must plays, but it seems to be the case that at the very least, this is a good game (if not great). That must be a good thing surely, I'd love to see Bioware get back to their glory days.

If you are looking for answers as to why Sony took away the diskdrive, i think it comes down to Sony wanting to push even more people to digital only and using their store. Then of course, it saves them a few bob when it comes to manufacturing costs.
Still absolutely sucks and I think is a real poor decision in respect of customer care, but I am afraid Sony are now purely profit driven even if it hurts their customers.
