Nice bit of revisionist history there fella, the largely American based games media, who have a deep rooted nostalgia for Nintendo franchises from their childhoods, have a long history of ranking Zelda and Mario titles highly. If you think this has been a discussion point over the last year you are deluded.
Personally, I happen to generally agree with most Zelda and Mario reviews as I loved those games.
What a pathetic specimen you are squire, you are only kidding yourself, nobody here believes a word you say.
I have been playing it all evening, believe the hype folks, it is EPIC!!!
I have been playing in resolution mode and it plays like a dream and is utterly breathtaking to look at. I am really enjoying how difficult it is too, normal difficulty is surprisingly hard.
Yup, the Uncharted series was love at first sight for me.
I recall loving Gears of War and thinking, wow, next gen is here.....I cannot believe this is what games are capable of. Then PS3 released and eventually Uncharted and I immediately felt like a new benchmark had been set, the story telling and characters blew my mind, then there was the vibrant colours and environments and the thrilling music.
Don't get me started on the rest of the series, I ...
Cant you just comment on the content of the article, honestly, why some people feel the need to pick a fight on N4G is beyond me.
By the way, I am super excited for Mario Tennis personally, it looks like great fun.
Seriously, once you are done with GOW, do yourself a favour and pick up Bloodborne.
There is a reason there is so much hype surrounding this game, for me, its a close run thing between The Last of Us and Bloodborne for my favourite game of all time, it really is that fantastic!
Hope you enjoy GOW too, I am hoping my copy turns up tomorrow, really excited to see what the fuss is about :)
The way CiffyB has conducted himself over the years, talking shit about about other games, other devs and other platforms put me off the guy. He always came across as believing his own hype and very unprofessional so to see him washing his dirty laundry in public comes as no surprise.
It's kind of satisfying to see his games repeatedly fail after all the needlessly nasty things he said about other devs when he was flying high, like they say, karma is a bitch.
Seriously Gamingbolt.com, why don't you stop trolling the gaming community and actually produce some content celebrating the medium we love and care about. You are an absolutely pathetic outfit and the more you make these ridiculous articles the more people realise you are completely out of touch and ultimately, clueless about games.
If you cannot recognise that modern games, including Killzone Shadowfall, have far exceeded that original KZ2 target render, then you nee...
If you think good game design and enough content to actually make a worthwhile game experience are ancillary then I don't know what to tell you squire.
As far as side kicks I was completely invested in and cared for, it has to be Ellie from The Last of Us and all of the cast from the Uncharted series be it Sully, Elena, Chloe or Cutter, I loved them all.
I think The King of Kong is a under-appreciated documentary. Whether you love videogames or not, it is such a great story and Billy Mitchell plays the pantomime villain so well.
Ghost n Goblins was never designed to be completed in my opinion, it was designed to take all your money in the arcades.
I loved that game ever since playing it on Commodore 64 as a kid but I have never completed it either, despite attempts on different platforms over the years, its so damn hard. I went on to adore Ghouls n Ghosts, particularly on my Amiga but especially whenever I happened across it in an arcade machine.
I see some claims here of people...
I bought my Switch as a secondary console to my PS4Pro. I bought it knowing full well that I was buying it largely for its exclusive content and I have no regrets at all, the 7 games I own on Switch have all been fantastic.
As a PC gamer of 25 years, I am happy to concede that PC does not have blockbusters in the same way Sony does. PC has blockbusters in respect of a particular genre, namely RTS or strategy games with the odd online shooter like PUBG.
It rarely gets a true, exclusive blockbuster like God of War, Last of Us, Gears of War or Mario.
What is it about the games you play, I wonder, that makes them mature and not aimed at 'manchildren'.
If you can find no entertainment from games such as Mario and Zelda, I guess that also carries over to the likes of Ratchet & Clank or Sunset Overdrive. How about Batman or Spiderman titles or perhaps you like to pretend to be a soldier and play a Call of Duty title?
My point is, if you want to pass judgement on what is acceptable for adults ...
Agreed, I would love for a graphical overhaul of these games. When you see a remaster done right it just breathes new life into old games that a simple up-res doesn't.
These games were fabulous and already very atmosoheric but my imagination runs wild with how much more atmospheric these titles could be with the graphical capability of current consoles. I am not sure my heart or stomach could take a more atmospheric version of Deadspace but I would love to find out.
I think the only 'play' left for Konami is to release remasters of the original games, a collection with all of the titles would be fantastic.
I don't see a new game in the series happening any time soon.
I do sympathise with those who are defending the game because they clearly see the potential the game had but, if they are honest with themselves, even they must concede that games need to be feature packed on release.
The launch window of a game is huge, this is where the buzz and momentum is generated. Unfortunately, the buzz surrounding the game is very muted, reviews were weak and it's already old news. Stories trying to counter a lack of content just highlight th...
Do you think that has any relevance to the quality of a given title? Are you honestly suggesting those games (or FarCry 5 for that matter) are better that the likes of Mario Odyssey, Zelda or Horizon?
I appreciate that everyone is entitled to an opinion however, what really irritates me is the need for these wannabe journos to feel the need to publish opinion pieces like this. What purpose does this opinion piece serve other than to rain on everyone's parade, ultimately, you have to ask why these sites, that you would think would like to celebrate games, instead offer negative coverage.
The answer of course is simple, they want to stir some shit in the hope of attra...
