He can apologize all he wants, won’t ever change how uneducated he is regarding revolutionary aspects of game design. Showcased how far behind he was/is when it comes to pushing game design to new heights.
Just because the gameplay was pre-recorded, doesn’t mean that when someone plays that specific sequence they won’t be able to have everything play out identically/very similar.
Microsoft has always been this way it’s due to their unprofessional marketing team culture. A lot of the time, companies’ marketing teams are arrogant and disconnect their department from the rest of the company. This is a prime example or if you recall the eerie Destiny marketing they released when responding to Destiny having exclusive Playstation rights back in 2014. I don’t believe they see how their marketing and boasting makes their company look as a whole.

I agree but isn’t that what the Sci-fi game was? Cory was the one working on it I thought before moving over to direct GOW
Really hope Cory’s directing that space themed new IP that they put on hold/cancelled.

But with your logic, you’d want them to release a game that lasts over 200+ hours in one experience. So long as each game is beefy I’m alright with their plan. They just need to fix the pacing mistakes and side activities/exploration for the next ones
They need to take advantage of a franchise that has the legs to go on for generations and still be fresh (similar to the Resident Evil Franchise). To do that, you need amazing world building, rich lore that has the legs to be huge, a universe that can be expansive, interesting characters and themes, fun and deep gameplay, etc.). Something players will constantly look towards, and they can also have a second team to work on new ip projects if they so choose. CD Project Red is a prime example o...
Don’t want you to get your hopes up but based on logic and developer interviews we should expect each one about every 3ish years. So I see at least two dropping over the next 7 years. And we don’t even know how long until the PS6 would be released so the PS5 may be around for a while
Not only that but this goes to show how talented Monolith is, they’re games are meaty, epic and can take anywhere between 35-100+ hours depending on each players’ playstyle. So for those who just want the linear story driven experience, they got you covered. & those who want a deep and lucrative experience, they got them covered as well.
Preach that shit
@rumor
Touching on your Horizon comment. I don’t care what the sales dictate and what people on here try to claim, Horizon Zero Dawn was a success strictly by marketing and originality of the Robotic Dinosaurs concept. It was my most disappointing Sony game of the generation (and yes I platinumed both Days Gone and The Order). The story was not that great, the world had nothing to do in it other than hunt robots and take out camps (and in monster hunter there’s actual depth...
Must be nice to have a couple first party studios working on RPG’s. The most difficult genre to make isn’t even embraced by Sony first parties. Such a disappointment
Yup, nothing stacks up to George on the snow map. Where the growth of Zombies as a mode all started. So many secrets
True, but it doesn’t seem to offer more to do other than combat encounters and collectible hunting. Not that it’s a problem for everyone but it may not be enough for everyone.
However the HUD idea they came up with is very original and creative
After experiencing combat in FFVII Remake, I can’t even imagine playing an rpg any other way. It not only offers the choice between the two (classic mode for turn-based style), but regardless of the mode you choose, you can literally pause in the middle of combat at any time to plan out your next moves (ala Sherlock Holmes Robert Downey Jr.) and execute. So fluid
Another thing The Witcher did though was allow for nostalgic drops to provide a multitude of various benefits. Most Ubi & Sony open worlds only have you looking for combat items and simplistic skill tree upgrades. The formula is stale, which is partly why The Witcher 3 is a timeless masterpiece. FFXII and Xenoblade are other examples of amazing open world fares
Were they being weird?
But if the majority white design looks amazing it won’t negatively affect sales. This analysts’ statement has a surface level (black & white) mentality to it. Which doesn’t come off as educated on the topic. I’m sure he’s good with numbers and has a great degree in finance but he showed his weak area with that opinion/prediction.
Maybe their profits would explode if. They actually invested in games that gamers want. Make a 3rd person Yugioh game with an adventure and story mode & see how well that does for you. Be bold & creative.
Because it wouldn’t look any different. At least not different enough to notice while playing a video game. Maybe if you stared at the screen with a magnifying glass
I actually don’t take any issue with how Black Widow looks.
The Kamala Khan chick is unattractive, but being tomboyishness fits her original character design from the comics so I don’t think they really deterred from a design perspective too much
