Yea and they completely burned me (along with millions of others) when they scrapped Scalebound. Which was the reason I got an Xone. I didn’t mind too much because I of course went into the purchase knowing that nothing is guaranteed, but now like many others I’m going to be skeptical until I see otherwise from them. July will be interesting
To touch on the end of your statement:
Just because they craft unique worlds (art design is all it takes to accomplish this) does not mean he is incorrect about them being “complacent.” Have you played Ghost of Tsushima yet? It can’t be judged until release, but as of right this moment it looks like the same Horizon, Days Gone, 2010-2017 Ubisoft open world design-type of title that they have been consistently putting out after 5+ years of development as of late.

They actually didn’t discuss praise in the story too often. They mainly emphasized the evolution of the depth of the gameplay and the satisfying nature of the mechanics, combat and overall progression. Story in this one was not the main highlighted points of the high scores. shouldn't be based off that. Naughty Dog/Neil is praised for the mastery and quality of his storytelling, not necessarily the story itself
I’m hoping for both
I saw the name Dark Cloud in the title and pee’d a little as I mashed the screen to get here
Game Pass seemed like a hard sell? You are delusional if you think the heads of Microsoft funding the venture didn’t devise a methodical plan and business model that they were very confident in. Microsoft trying to get “gaming to 6 billion” is all business
@pyro
You must have misunderstood the vagueness of my comment. If you read in between the lines you’d know I was referring to racing games and indies. Smaller scale productions that don’t require a hefty amount of horsepower. With an occasional larger game here & there offering the 120. But other than that 120 will not be seen in even 20% of AAA titles
I wouldn’t expect any AAA games to run at 120fps other than Forza
@spicy
Some people want deeper games though dude. Demon’s Souls was the only game with actual depth to the mechanics. Ratchet is the only other title with a chance to add onto the gameplay formula of previous iterations and it’s not confirmed either way yet. All Horizon is going to offer is more dino’s and the ability to swim. The open world gameplay of Horizon offered “nothing to do” other than hunt dino’s and make you think there was character progression. At least Monste...
Has never been the same since Greg & Colin left. Max Scoville is the only chill dude left
The two heads responsible no longer work for IGN
They felt by stamping an editor’s name on the article that it would dissolve them and wipe their hands clean. Doesn’t seem as if they thought that one through
Really want nintendo to spend some of the billions they accrue in revenue and add an intuitive sort of achievement system. Only pros with no cons to this
I’m not gonna lie bro I would love to have BC on my PS4/PS5. I want to play my old library of ps3 games (Not ps2/one since they’re severely dated and don’t offer any trophy support). And no, I don’t want to nor should I have to pull out the PS3
I will give you this though, people who fight for MSFT are a bit delusional and fail to realize that they have offered NOTHING when it comes to exclusive titles. They need to earn praise, which they have not as of yet. The best thing...
They should have at least acknowledged Cory Barlog out of respect. Although no one should be surprised given Microsoft’s marketing/PR team and how they tend to run their department
Them actually giving a shit about that franchise and turning it into a staple for decades to come is I’m sure what he meant by “remaster/remake.” Unfortunately it’s a 1st party rpg and unfortunately it’s Sony. Those two don’t seem to exist for whatever reason
So damn excited. Best reveal at the event
Pokemon World (scale to that of Monster Hunter World) would be nice.
He did drop the ball with KH3, but definitely redeemed himself with FFVII Remake
I feel like this is going to be their first person franchise and the Witcher series/their next fantasy rpg is going to he their 3rd person franchise. Dabble in both and make both camps happy
