The franchise isn’t going anywhere. They do however need to go back to the KH1 roots and offer more satisfying progression and platforming mechanics early on versus the whole god mode from the start nonsense that was KH3.
Part 2 definitely needs to offer more exploration and reward for going off the beaten path. Otherwise the linearity may get repetitive for the future installments.

Interesting idea regarding TriAce but ultimately their money would be better spent on a different jrpg studio. They need more japan studios. It’s odd they don’t seeing as how the company is based in Japan.

It’s under the same entity. The CFO has budgets for specific divisions of Sony, but overall the money spent on acquisitions is in the same shared pool of funds
Could they not have used that money to buy a great studio like Level-5 or Cygames/Platinum. Mistake not trying to add one of them to their first party
Isn’t the ps one more rounded symmetrically as well? In honor of the ps3 boomerang concept. There’s clear differences in the two controllers and it’s unprofessionally immature for Microsoft’s marketing dept. to approve of these shade’s against sony products. Reminds me of when Microsoft was sour at Destiny having exclusive ps rights at launch.
They should call it RE VII-2 if it’s a sequel to Ethan’s story.
Where’s Sony’s Xenoblade first party studio? They seriously need to invest in a deep rpg series. All gamers win if xbox sony & nintendo all have something to offer on this front
Really don’t think it would hurt for them to revolutionize/expand on the franchise with one of the upcoming entries similar to what they did for Monster Hunter with World.

2. Deep original new ip to become the next face/mascot of Sony, so long as it’s a deep story driven rpg/jrpg. Think Final Fantasy, Granblue, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade, etc.

Criminally underrated developer. Really hope Sony wises up for their fanbase and creates a studio that can make deep rpg’s of similar magnitude. 1st party jrpg’s with the right backing can truly be something special.

Couldn’t agree more. Real disappointed in Sony and their lack of allocating resources to pump out way more previous gen games, after a year of generating 19 billion in sales from gaming alone, is disrespectful to a lot of gamers.
