Lol. The statements you’re trying to make showcase your surface level understanding of what we’re discussing.
Also your link to alleged authority does not apply because if we were in a professional setting where you could be informed properly you would see that the evidence of fact supports my claim. It would require ample time to be explained to those who may be confused. No one’s spitballing, it’s just how you’re perceiving my position.
Again, good luck...
Again, you sound uneducated, further proving my point. Should have done research on me to know that I never praise microsoft, except in regards to their UI on xone compared to ps4 - and yes the topic of UI is definitely an opinion of mine, which I would not be the authority of.
Now on the subject of rpg’s, you can say all you want I’m no authority, athough I am correct. The general consensus is that people love Horizon as a game. Okay no problem. However if anyone with a mi...
Sorry man, read in between the lines. It’s marketing. Anyone can slap a leveling system on a game with simplistic progression and minimal equipment to purchase (but none to salvage from chests/etc.), and call it a “role-playing game.” Maybe you should play them both back to back before making your claim, so you can be more educated on the topic. I mean this with all do respect
Don’t know if that was sarcasm but anyone that believes HZD is an rpg doesn’t play many video games
Hey not a bad mistake
Don’t forget collector’s editions where they make even more profit
Speaking as somebody who has many acquaintances that are in the circle of the bodybuilding community (natural & steroid users), there is little chance that somebody living in an apocalypse without access to extensive calories and a strict food regimen per day would be able to sustain that size
I see where Druckmann was going with it (he’s talented and good at what he does), this was just the absolute wrong title to go that route
That’s the problem. You can’t continue to rely on third party rpg’s. It’s unsustainable. Microsoft planned this out out correctly for once
If true Sony should rethink their portfolio strategy. They have nothing to compete with this on the rpg front.
I truly don’t believe they’re aiming for that I believe it’s just the way it worked out with the development of RE2 & 3 remake. Remember the devs said that initially 2 & 3 were going to be bundled together. So if they both came out in 2019 we wouldn’t be seeing another until Village releases. I think they learned from their mistake on 6 that quantity doesn’t trump over quality
Annd, another action/adventure title
What’s the ratio from a dollar to a gigzamillion
What more could they do with Uncharted? Other than add a different protagonist which in my opinion would be a mistake
Is it 2020 and there’s still no type of achievement system? Really hoping they put some money towards this. They could use coins and stars
Bet 100 bucks the startup screen that Sony teased during their reveal will be copied I mean very similar to what msft has for their startup UI
Returnal could be a sleeper hit with intuitive gameplay. Always wondered what it would feel like to play a game with shooting mechanics like Dead Nation, Alienation Nex Machina, etc. but in the 3rd person
Horizon I won’t even speak on. Franchise was/is a major disappointment to what I thought it was going to be. Wasted opportunity
If you’re making a 10 hour game then just 1-2 year MAX is all the time it should take. It depends on publisher and developer experience, leadership and talent. Insomniac made the 2016 Ratchet game in well under 2 years to hurry and coincide the release with the movie. Their efficiency and resource management was a critical factor in the 220+ million dollar acquisition
That’s not what he was pushing for. He wants short 12-15 hour experiences. In my opinion if a game is managed and created from the ground floor with rewarding progression and a solid gameplay loop then 25-45 hour experiences are very viable and on top of that, won’t need 5 years for development. Maybe why he’s not in charge anymore

Add some fun depth/mechanics in a game other than shooting enemies, finding collectibles that serve absolutely no purpose, and choosing upgrades from simplistic skill trees. Xenoblade needs some healthy competition for Sony fans, and they have their own 1st party rpg they could learn from in Dark Cloud 2 or Rogue Galaxy. Combing weapons, crafting, town building, creatures to collect, townspeople to recruit and loads of other (optional) things to do ...
