Agreed, and with Sony becoming more PC friendly I don’t see why that wouldn’t be a possibility
Sony has had a long standing relationship with Level-5 since early ps days. Developed great exclusives together including the Dark Cloud series & Rogue Galaxy. Amazing jrpg’s. No idea how they have not acquired them, regardless of the asking price.
This is the one major genre they don’t have a 1st party studio equipped and experienced in developing. Expansive, deep, innovative & fun jrpg’s don’t grow on trees. L-5 is proven
I sincerely mean this when I ask it as I truly appreciate Kojima not only as as a Director and innovative game developer but as a person (based off what I’ve heard of him from his peers), but Is’t the Creator of Dragon’s Dogma technically the first to create the “strand” system? Obviously not with strands of course but the coding embedded into the game seems very similar to the whole Pawn’s System in Dragon’s Dogma by Capcom.
Not necessarily. They could use an “app store” mentality when it comes to the content.
Wrong. They executed poorly on RE5 & RE6, so the creative director and producers are to blame. With the correct creative minds and the perfect formula they could make it work. It will require more imagination and hard work, but can be done.
It doesn’t have to be open world, I provided an example regarding a larger world. You can create a semi-open world game similar to Monster Hunter World with larger zones, or a more wide linear experience similar to God of War & Metro Exodus that allow for more exploration, yet still somewhat forces a linear story path on the player. Those of you that complain seem to lack comprehension that creative game development with the correct care and attention can make any game design great.
8 should really keep all the amazing qualities of RE2 Remake except with more world depth and deeper progression. Always imagined a massive Resident Evil game in Third Person with a more open format similar to Dying Light.
Not for 30 dollars.
No sir, you’re either choosing to fail at realizing the broader picture, or you simply just don’t understand it as a whole.
The “supplemental” material that you’re referring to is there for those that “choose” to utilize it. Here I’ll break it down for you a bit more:
The professor (developer) has provided supplemental material (trophies/achievements) for in which it’s student (gamers) may choose to engage/engulf themselves into the subject matter.
My Biology professor provides powerpoint slides every week covering material that will be utilized for the quiz the following week and cumulatively for our midterm and final. He also sends extra powerpoint material and videos that are not mandatory for our success but are for those who prefer to delve deeper into the course material.
Not mandatory, “optional.”
You see where I’m getting at here.
Whoa.
That is with cut scenes, a lot of which were reused from the main game.
Sony made an absolutely huge mistake going cheap and not acquiring Techland if the rumors are true about Microsoft acquiring them. Sometimes you need to overpay for true investments to flourish. Looking for smaller studios like Housemarque (rumored) compared to a more expensive developer such as Techland or Level-5 are not only going to provide less “profits” for their business down the line compared to the latter, but the solid foundation towards deep quality game development by some of thes...
For those on the fence, the dlc offered absolutely nowhere near $30 worth of content when you compare it to many other expansion passes on the market. Borderlands, Witcher & Dying Light immediately come to mind. In my opinion the Game Informer reviewer actually undersold how minuscule this content actually is.
@armyvetgamer
Be wary as you may come off to some as ignorant. Not only has playstation been my primary and preferred console since PS2, but I didn’t get an xboxone until late 2017. It’s my personal opinion as I appreciate the way Microsoft has handled their interface, which is the only thing they’ve handled well since entering the console space in my opinion. Scalebound was the first reason I was ever given to own an xbox.
The xbox UI is the one major feature I’ve always preferred over PS3 & 4. Intuitive, innovative and has great depth. It’s the only area I feel Sony needs to improve on moving forward.
I would hope so seeing as how this was intended to be released with RE2 day one same disc
YESS.
The gameplay loop and depth combined with the lore of that universe. Would not be mad at a deep and meaty new trilogy
Whomever posted this article must not have known that RE2 & RE3 Remake were in development at the same time and were originally planned to release as one package (as stated in an interview with the director). 3 couldn’t make the deadline so it was delayed until now and can be released alongside Resistance
Every place has a price.
