Yeah, not sure what he's talking about... but DMC3 is probably one of the hardest games of all time.
It's not a very good idea to base observations off an early trailer. Who knows if the enemy AI was completely done. Any number of things could be to blame for the enemies just standing around.
It would be nice for the PS3 to finally get some good press, but as long as I'm happy with the purchase, the numbers don't mean anything. I think Sony is taking steps in the right direction to get themselves back on their feet over the course of this year and next.
I think Sony will do it... though without a doubt the 360 is doing a bang-up job giving them a run for their money. It's going to be a lot closer than I thought it would be. Price cuts will eventually happen though, and the games will come. Blu-Ray will have a huge selection of titles available by the end of the year, and I'm sure there are many like me - gamer AND movie buff - who are very happy by the inclusion of the HD drive.
Sony gave away $3000 LCD's to everyone in line at their UK launch event. I would have went just for that.
Star Wars is Fox... so it would be Blu-Ray if it was released... but that would completely be up to Lucas. Word has it he's releasing another DVD set, so HD format may be a long ways away.
They gotta accept that this is how the future looks. Few, if any, third-party exclusives. All the big system sellers will be first- and second-party.
Harry Potter and 300 are owned by Warner Bros, so we'll see them on both platforms thankfully. Good news for all HD adopters :)
They'll all still buy it anyways.
Ahhhhh I can't wait to see films like this, and the above mentioned Harry Potter, LotR, Star Wars (eventually.. hopefully) in crazy high-def. Now all I need is a PS3. Bah.
Ahhhh I typically buy Sony products, and I think they're staff should just shut up for a bit. Enough already. If the product is so great, let it speak for itself.
Bah, Factor 5 should have taken notes from Insomniac. I'm pretty sure there is no better way to play Ratchet & Clank, than playing as a snowman. I would have liked to have seen Snowman as a skin option in this game.
I've never played an online game, and this is no exception, but the co-op splitscreen in BF is super fun.
I agree, this is a very good move for Sony. To have concoles available at launch, for people to buy. You would wonder why no one else thought of this (though I guess the extra four months helped a bit).
But like you said, for all those games you mentioned, virtually the same game is available to both platforms... but that makes the 360 a better purchase?
Too many flame bait articles these days *shakes head*. We're going to see less and less third-party exclusives. As gamers, that's a good thing!
I really don't think that's a relevant comparison though. You'd first have to find out how many of those PC owners actually PLAY games, other than solitaire or Mahjong.
I think that as long as the PS3 is around, Blu-Ray can't fail. The install base alone will be purchasing large amounts of movies. As the PS3 install base grows, so does BD's.
I'm just glad that the PS3 got this title. I have neither the 360, or a PC capable of running this game, and I certainly don't weant to miss out on this experience. Can't wait to pick it up :D!
I don't know for sure, but I believe it just comes with composite. Certain bundles may have either a component or HDMI cable included though.
And that deal is amazing. Are they trying to get people to cancel their PS3 orders? Geez.
If the store only has 73 units left available, I'd personally be worried. That's a fairly small number, considering the people who would rather not pre-order and just show up on launch day hoping to score one. In my town (maybe cause it's so little) we don't even have pre-orders available and we all have to play the waiting-in-line game :P
He's completely right. Some people are just crazy.
