As far as I'm concerned, the premise of Warhawk remains intriguing enough that as long as it is eventually released, I'll have no complaints with the developers choices until I actually play it... hopefully not too many complaints afterwards :P

Well, compared to most people here, my first console was the NES, so suddenly I don't feel that old anymore :)

Go "Blades of Steel"!!

I was going to say the same thing about pinkprincess. It's very apparent she completely hates the PS3. Not saying it's wrong for her to post this news... but just that she definitely didn't do it to try to persuade people to buy a PS3.

Why are you complaining? You didn't "waste" you're money on it obviously, so it doesn't concern you. Let the people who actually own one judge its worth.

GoW co-op would be the most amazing thing ever.

I know that I, for one, am buying the PS3 not only for the gaming, but also for the movies. I've been interested in picking up a Blu-Ray player since they first released, but they were so expensive. I'm personally really thankful Sony put one. I can finally get one for a bargain.

I'm anxious to know when these will make their way into PS3s.

You're an idiot. Ummm... your welcome?

As a movie buff as well as gamer, the Blu-ray player alone is enough of a selling point for me. Add in Sony's vast library (of released AND upcoming games) and I'm sold :)

I'll take it in 2007 with 5 or 6 killer titles :)

I'm personally not sure if Hounsou would be able to pull off the ruthlessness that embodies Kratos (or at least the way I would imagine it). He always seems to play the soft-spoken roles in films.

And I always thought of Kratos as a Greek.

This article is obviously garbage. We know that around 1000 games will be playable on the PS3 when it is released (plus more later)... and there are obviously not 8000 PS2 games available. So where does this article get its basis?

I'm in Canada, and PS3's are still hard enough to come by as it is where I live, but I don't even want the American version anymore. I'm hoping in a few months the new PAL version will make it's way over here. I'd rather have the potential for ups...

Well, like you've mentioned, I like PlayStation, and what Sony offers to me. I still follow the 360, and listen closely to developments that may sway me to purchase one in the future. If that constitutes fanboyism towards the PS3, than sure. I'm a fanboy, and not ashamed to be one.

If you seriously have no idea who is in my avatar... I'm dissapointed as I thought everybody knew who he was... but it is - perhaps one of the most iconic characters from PS history - Cloud, from Fin...

It just sounds too much like this article was written by an xBox fan, who wants the PS3 to essentially be a 360.

I completely agree. Regardless of what sources say, I like to make my own judgements, as I'm sure my tastes differ from other people. Realistically, the average gamer isn't a child anymore. Considering what you are getting, the price is not ridiculous at all, and is quite affordable (and I'm a 19 year-old paying myself through university). I like how Sony regards this as an investment. Knowing the PS3 will be around for 5+ years makes me feel better about giving them my money.

Since he was talking to me there, I'll respond. With university and work, it usually takes me 1-2 months to get through a game. After that, I put it on the shelf for awhile and start something new. Unless the game was horrid, after a year or two I'll probably play it again (I've played through FF VII 6 or 7 times :P). Two months is just a very long time to devote all that time and finally beat a game, and then start it all over again.

I'm assuming somewhere in the world, th...

Though the wait for some of these games is likely to be a long, long, long time, the list still looks fanastic across all fronts. Pretty well all genres are getting some love, and that diversity is great to see. I've never looked forward to a game console's potential more than I am right now. And personally, I have time to buy and play through one game every month or two, so as long as there is a fairly steady stream of decent titles being released on a monthly (or bi-monthly basis)than I ...

Do you play the Halo series a lot? Have you played the 3rd installment? As much of a PS3er as I am, I'll be the first to say that Halo is huge, and sells like mad. All those sales must be driven by something. Long story short, the series is not 'lame', and I'll reserve judgement on the third installment until it's released. If anything, at least Master Chief looks bad @ss.

Not a bad list. People can complain about missing titles, but at least he included all the consoles....

Hopping on the computer for 5-10 minutes once or twice a day doesn't seem that pathetic to me. That is such a strong word, I like to think of myself a 'knowledgable' in the video game world :D.

I don't really care about the trophies or achievements thing. I've never played an online game, and have very little interest in other people seeing what I'm up to. And even in single-player games, after I beat it once, I put it away on the shelf. I don't try to beat it again and meet different sorts of requirements to get some little points. I have other stuff to do.
