If that's your opinion of the Final Fantasy series, than no one really has to try to explain their significance to you. You won't understand it.
Sorry dude, but this has no effect on gaming at all. Did you read the article?
Every topic does...
So much stress being a gamer these days ^^
For what it's worth, I think MS will be kicking themselves in the teeth when they realise what they passed up when Heavenly Sword is released. As far as I'm concerned, the 360 could use titles like this.
You're just a sad, delusional fanboy. Talk about sucking nuts.
To answer your serious questions, if the 360 had the games I want, I would get it. Simple as that. Like you said, we are living in today, and TODAY the PlayStation brand produces the games that I want. And guess what? TOMORROW they're still going to be doing it.
(To 360 owners, this is not a knock on 360 games. I think some of them look fantastic: Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Fable 2. If I had mor...
I wasn't even interested in this game until I heard it was multi-player only. The storyline wouldn't really have enticed me at all, but now it sounds like a great game to just kick back with a couple of friends. I'm really hoping it doesn't have the $59.99 sticked price though of most PS3 games.
That looks like an awesome line-up, though to be fair, the PS3 has a number of great-looking titles coming up as well, so I wouldn't have used the word "dominate".
Personally as an Action/RPGer, of those games I would only pick up Blue Dragon, and probably The Lost Odyssey even though I've heard absolutely nothing about it: Hironobu Sakaguchi. Don't need to say much more than that.
IGN just posted an article regarding this as well, they think it could be true:

As a comparison, Sony unveiled a 70" LCD, and it was priced at a measely $33,000. This would be over $50 G's.
I guess for a ridiculously huge TV it would look good, since 1080p wouldn't be enough for something so big... but I don't have the $50-70 grand or so to get one :P, and 1080p probably looks the same at smaller screen sizes.
Though I don't have a 360, I think this game sounds like it has a lot of potential, and it would be a definite purchase for me if I had the console. RPG/Action adventures are my favourite type of games, and this sounds like it is right up my ally.
I'm holding out for the controller that butters my toast :P
A "platformer" is a genre of games, like you said.
"Multi-platform" is a completely different concept, and just means that the game is available on two "platforms", which is basically another word for "console".
I hope I'm reading this correctly, but are they talking about bring the cinema into our homes? That would be such an awesome feature. There's always movies that look 'ok' opening in theatres, that I wouldn't necessarily drive to go see, but if I can just watch them in the comfort of my own home and not have to worry about paying $50 for popcorn and a drink than I'm sold.
Simpsons Movie.... OR Spider-man 3, cause that movie is going to be absolutely huge, and I'm sure will look phenomenal in HD.
Samsung's is full 1080p HD as well. Must be referring to Sony LCD's.
And since Microsoft did not do that, it needs no further discussion :)
It's very sad that every topic turns into a battle between the PS3 and 360.
Wow, that would be really annyoing. I hope Sony gets this issue ironed out.
I never realised that thing about the dragon games. Good call! Haha. Even though overall, I think down-playing any game - based solely on its genre/content - before you've got your hands on it is wrong.
