This is one of my most anticipated games for the PS3. Repetitive button mashers... some of the best games on the market IMO.
IGN's PS3 crew do not hate the system. If they did, they would be writing for another column. The same games on different consoles receive different scores because they're done by different reviewers. No two people share the exact same tastes, so obviously reviews are going to be relient on whose writing.
As for this, shame that the PS3 version is once again not up to speed with the 360 graphically-wise. Even though we know the PS3 can produce the same graphics as the 360, ...
I just finished XII a couple months ago - which I felt was a phenomenal game - but I'd rather XIII didn't come out this year. I'm still getting over my 115 hour experience with XII, gotta keep my gaming experiences broad.
While I've never played the game, and was merely quoting IGN... the fact that on the 360 the OPTION is there for extended gameplay is a good thing, I think. More bang for your buck is always good.
Is this news? I thought we all knew this has been happening since the beginning.
It wasn't too good on the 360, and with no online it's slightly worse on the PS3, but at least hardcore RPG fans have something to tide them over until the bigger games hit.
All game updates should be free as far as I'm concerned. I'm still playing my PS2 so I haven't been exposed to this next-gen garbage where you seemingly only buy half the game (for full price) and have to pay for the rest later when they decide to release it.
And I know all companies charge extra for downloadable content, so it's not just a bash on the 360. I just don't support this move by the industry at all. I'm going to miss the old days where you pay for a game, and ge...
First off - and unfortunately - I can never really see the day when the gaming community becomes unified. As long there is a console "war" going on, there will be a war online between the supporters of each. It's just human nature to want to be the best.
You're points about the different PS3 games are very opinionated, and relative only to you, really. I personally think that Resistance bests COD2 in all aspects, but I really just don't like the setting. WWII era ...
To be fair, they never really did HAVE this one.. so saying they lost it is a bit of a moot point.

I can't see these demo discs being worth putting on a BD though. It would take a ton of demos to make it worth it (who wants trailers when they're widely available on the web in HD anyways).
If Sony wouldn't have dominated the chart after launch than they would have failed. This was expected by everyone. The PS3 is steadily selling worldwide, like we all knew it would.
They compare because it's what is available on the market NOW. The average consumers aren't interested in what might come out in a year or so. When we see some new PS3 hardware (if it takes that long) than I'm sure new comparisons will pop up.

IGN's US release dates have been updated, and it has Lair listed as July 31st. Not sure if it has been that way for awhile and just needs to be fixed... but yeah.

The rumour mill on this one has certainly started up again. Though, realistically, this video means nothing. He watched someone play Gears, so he wants to put MGS4 on the 360? People make too big of a deal out of nothing. We know he wants to develop for the 360 as well, and is a fan of GoW.
Whether or not sources are pointing that this MAY come out on the 360, I'd rather wait and find out officially before getting all worked up.
And I'm not sure, but it seems like every article that is considered negative on here is being labeled an April Fool's joke.
They're licensing the Euphoria engine from NaturalMotion for Force Unleashed and the upcoming Indiana Jones game. Actual artifical intelligence in enemies. It's pretty amazing technology. I think they hold exclusive rights until 2008.
