False. The previous president brought in the Gamecube and created its concept of focusing solely on games and nothing else which is where they started to lose 3rd party support, not Iwata. Iwata just inherited the position during its time.
The Wii and the DS were the first systems to come in under Iwata and they were a huge success. So is the 3DS.
This is the first time Iwata's product hasn't immediately swept the planet. Considering that its only bee...
Perhaps I will, but that elsewhere definitely won't be with Sony, Microsoft or EA.
Well said. Its nice to see intelligence used for once instead mindless bashing.
Judging by your agree to disagree ration, I would say that its mostly Sony fans who flocked to this article.
This console was impossible during the time of the 360 launch. The technology didn't exist to make parts that small with an energy consumption that low, or a GPU that strong.
Nintendo made every effort to show that its "not" a tablet. They've stated it many times. Where did you see them trying to pass it off as a tablet.
Good, if Patcher disagrees, then they are doing right.
The only thing he agreed with was that the console was priced well and it would meet sells expectations. If Patcher agrees with you then you are doing something wrong.
I thought they announced games because their hadn't been any announce. I guess any attempt at doing anything whatsoever at anytime is now considered a desperate attempt, and an act done in "fear" of Sony and Microsoft.
Just goes to show, that no matter what Nintendo does, its wrong as far as the gaming population at large is concerned.
Its called aliasing, not jaggies. Saying jaggies sounds so immature.
Also, aliasing will no be going away anytime soon. The harder you push a game on a console, the more aliasing it will have.
Saying there will be zero aliasing is just as ridiculous as the belief that all games with be native 1080p 60fps. Its not going to happen.
This game is good. More people should buy it.
The gaming journalism community really seems to have a special hate for Nintendo. No matter what they do, they always find someway to make something bad out of it.
As much as like this game and as much as I would like Square to start making better game, I would rather Square not do it by copying other companies.
What the industry and Square need is more originality and creativity. We need less of the same old, same old.
Why are people begging for a Zelda game that isn't Zelda?
Its like asking for a Call of Duty without guns, a Sim Combat racer or an Elder Scrolls cooking sim.
The formula for Zelda is what makes it Zelda. If you change that then you will just have some arbitrary games with the words "Zelda" written on the cover.
If I wanted Fallout, Oblivion or Red Dead Redemption, then I would play one of those games.
Nintendo ...
Well excuses me for making a typo. Sorry for not being god and giving an opinion that isn't to your liking.
Martydom card? What in the world is that? Ever heard of Red Herring?
I just posted the critiques that are on the first 3 pages in each of the 2 sections of this site.
Nothing I said left this site, yet you run to YouTube to bring in irrelevant data in defense? If I went to YouTube to find negative videos about the Wii U they would fill the page without going back 1 week in video posts.
This site and the aritlces on here are the only thing I ...

You are comparing a 2 month old system that has been in the middle of the charts for 2 months straight to a handheld that has been near the bottom for a year.
The Wii U has almost passed vita's sells and it just turned 2 months old.
The problem with the Wii U doom articles is that they are unfounded. The Wii U is not nor has it ever been failing. Its sells ar...
Critical aritlces on first 3 pages of Vita:
1 "5 Reasons Why You Should Buy The Playstation Vita" <-postive review

3 "Where did the PlayStation Vita go wrong?"
4 "The PS Vita is in one heck of a catch 22" <-half postive and hopeful

I like how they add the "parenthesis" to emphasize the most negative aspect they can gleam from this. Real classy...
That certainly was not well written and didn't demonstrate anything visually impressive.
The only thing that stood out to me was the aliasing on some objects. Everything else was repetitive shades of gray and black.
Everything fails to impress me right now after the trailer for X from Monolith Soft the other day, though.
Nintendo has been announcing new games with their Nintendo directs for like a year now, but announcing any games for the Wii U suddenly becomes desperation? Why?
They aren't doing anything any different they've done before.
How is doing the same thing you've always have an act of desperation?
So what will you say when Orbis and Durango sell even less at the end of the year?
