The fact is that Nintendo sold the Wii U at a loss, and the same with the 3DS. The cost of the console is relative to how much it costs to manufacture.
Also, those stats you list are have been stated to be taken far out of context many times.
The GPU is over twice as powerful. Not only does it output to two screen at one, but it does it at higher resolutions with higher frame rates.

I remember finding games less than 5 months old sub 30 dollars...on a shelf. If gaming goes down, prices will not. Storage mediums are not the reason games cost so much. I doubt a bluray costs a manufacturer 50 cents to make.

Party games will find no home on the Wii U.
If a game requires 6 mil+ to demonstrate its core crowed then the other two consoles didn't do it very well.
The PS3 only had 10 6mil+ games to the Wii's 18(5 of those games are Call of Duty and 1 is Battlefield.)
The 360 had 14 6 mil+ games(5 of which were Call of Duty and 1 Battlefield).

Nintendo has pretty much only truly targeted harcore gamers with the Wii U. They are the only ones who have bought the console, because they are the only one who know that it is an actual new console, not just an expensive add-on for the Wii which is what the non-gamer's. Seems I made the mistake of using facts in favor of Nintendo on an article that proposes something negative.
I should have known better. These articles are havens for anti-Nintendo trolls and the bitterest of sony fanboys. Doesn't matter if its true or not with them. You can't speak positive of Nintendo or negatively of sony in any form.
