Games + Porn = Nothing but Win!
I think the My New Haircut Guy said it best. F@ckin skank!
To many girls who would normally be not so hot getting love from the plastic to look decent. Natural beauty FTW!
I think 110k is a good start. This is the kind of game that appeals to the hardcore and will continue to sell through word of mouth. However, I'm kind of upset the hardcore audience didn't buy more day one. I know a lot of people bought it for multiple systems day one to help out but there should have been more first week sales.
Well from what I read about the game it's all QTE gameplay. I'm guessing a lot of the processing power dedicated to AI and physics that are needed for a lot of other games are being thrown into the graphics in Heavy Rain. It looks great but does it play great?
It looks like part of the problem is they still have that shiny surface which is part of the problem. If you have any kind of finger sweat your done.
It doesn't seem to me that the Wii would have the target audience for this type of game. I'm suprised they didn't put this on the 360 then again they probably don't to go up again Soul Calibur 4.
Crysis is an example of a pretty engine killed by bad coding. The engine has no real ability to properly use multi-cpu and gpu setups properly. If coded properly your GTX280 and my 8800GTS (G92) SLI should tear it up!
I'm looking forward to diving into some Bionic Commando tonight!
This release can't come soon enough. I can't wait to dive into this one!
Security officers have a higher death rate! :)
If they are going to go back and render all the games assets in 720 or 1080P. I would assume it's possible since all the content is based on prerendered CGI.
They could have added characters to the BETA. All you had to do is require a redownload of the whole game with updated character selection. You need more then just two characters of the same type to test things out properly. They should have just gave you the whole damn thing and have it expire after a certain date.
I'd love for them to come out with a system where I could pay a little extra and play a game on any console or PC they decided to support for one price. That would be a good way of addressing the hey I bought it for the 360/PS3 so why should I have to pay for it again. It won't help with everyone but bring the more honest gamers back on board the money train.
It's a pretty good game just not setup for the PC. Heck to play it properly you need a controller and why not just play it on a console then. Instead of just straight porting it they should have added some PC specific features. Plus had it came out the same time as the console versions it probably would have done much better. A lot of PC gamers also have a 360 or PS3, even both! They probably just bought it for those systems first.
I love the pickup and play aspect of this game. Those who put in the time to learn all the moves are still going to win most matches. However, it gives us regular guys a fighting chance and hence makes battles seen more meeningful to both sides instead of a one way slaughter fest. The graphics are also top notch and the basic gameplay is solid. I'm not so sure about the addon stuff in the story mode. I have to play it some more to get an opinion on that.
I'd just like to see more games for the PC that take advantage of the current hardware. Outside of Crysis most games don't use anywhere near the current graphics hardware power out there.
Like any movie (oops I mean game) MGS4 is probably blowing up the preowned scene causing the new copies to be discounted. MGO should be keeping copies with the original owner but there is one problem after another using Konami's online service. Hence causing frustration to many players. Sure MGS4 is a fun game, however there really isn't much keeping you there and with MGO being a mess even less.
I think you should be able to run and shoot. However, there should be a significant drop in accuracy when that happens.
I've been wondering the same thing. Heck I'd even take a next gen Castlevania in the style of Dracula X on the PSP. Just make it more like SOTN and in 1080P! :)
Heck an onboard Intel GPU with 2006 NVIDIA/ATI power would be an upgrade to the current crap they push out.
