It doesn't suprise me. You can get a PC graphics card in the $150 price range that is faster then the cards in the PS3 and 360. It was just matter of time for the PC to be back on top in graphics. It happens since PC hardware is upgraded a couple times of year while a console has a 5 to 10 year life span.
Is more story telling through game play. Sure I'd like some cool cutscenes too but MGS4 really took the controller out of your hand for way too long at times. They could have easily told more of the story in hours of additional gameplay.
ATI is really cleaning up in this round with two great bang of the buck cards. This is coming from a NVIDIA 8800(G92)SLI owner.
Yes Epic has had a few issues with Microsoft because they wanted their content to be free. However, others like EA milk us for every penny when stuff like this used to come in the game. Actually to think of it EA now puts it on the game disc and then charges you for it so technically you aren't even downloading new content!

Regardless of how bad the comparison is in this review it looks like ATI is back in the game. Both the 4850 and 4870 are leaders in their respective pricerange. ATI doesn't have the fastest single card solution but does have the best bang for the buck. This is coming from a current NVIDIA owners mouth.
As a Gold member one would think all the ads on the blades are taking care of the costs.
Mostly that he scored other games higher that would be no better on a scale from 1 to 10. Outside of that I agree with his criticism of the game. I too felt like I was watching more then I was playing MGS4. As a fan of the series since Metal Gear on the NES as a kid I really wanted to be in more control of what was going on. It would be nice to know what resolution they are talking about? What level of card and DX level. It could very well be that it only runs at 800x600 in high on DX9.
I couldn't agree more. Everything was at your fingertips pretty quickly in the game. Plus the ability to stock up at ease made the game a lot easier then it should have been. Plus like you said it made sneaking secondary since you pretty much could take on the world with your weapon selection. I forced myself to try and play MGS4 like the other games but found it near impossible since there were so many toys to play with. :)
Damn it looks like AMD is going for the bang for the buck market and not ass rape the PC gamer for good performance. I might have to give them a look and I'm an NVIDIA guy.
Nothing can make Haze fun, that went right back to Gamefly after a couple hrs of play. Haze is trash.
I'm a Metal Gear fan but I have to take a jab once in awhile at that interactive movie MGS4 I just played. I have a feeling RE5 is really going to raise the gameplay bar like RE4 did. Very much like MGS4 raised the bar for story telling.
Capcom you need to raise the bar past MGS4 with this one. 20 hrs of cutscenes please. J/K keep the gameplay/cutscenes mix like the previous games in the series and you have a winner.
I had the Phillips 42" 7403 for awhile and it was trash. The TV had a lot of bugs and doesn't even have a backlight adjustment. Work those things out and it's a nice budget set since SAMS had them for $1198.00
I'm watching my once loved Nintendo turn into the gimmick minigame company. It's like Nintendo just said you all got Zelda, Mario, and Metroid games already so it's gimmick game time! Oh and that controller you just bought, well you have to now spend more money to make it what it should have been day one.
Epic fail.....but the lemmings will buy this crap and Wall Street will love it. I'm sure we'll see on CNBC tomorrow how Nintendo and somebodys mom stole the show! lol
