When I run Warhead with any NVIDIA drivers the ice levels crush my system in DX10. Running in DX9 with the same settings is runs very smooth and pretty much looks the same. I wish they would fix whatever is screwing up DX10 performance because it was fine in the jungle levels.
Yeah unlike MGS4 you actually play this one more then you watch it. It could be a problem for some people! ;)
Intel has said this before about there graphics chips only to be spanked by even low end ATI and NVIDIA graphics solutions.
When the product comes out and sites like Hardocp and Anandtech bench it then I'll believe it.
I rented it from Gamefly and beat it last night. It was a fun game to play through. The force controls are a little wonky from time to time but fun game nonetheless.
Pro Street was a whole lot of blah and went back to Gamefly within a couple days of me getting it. They really need to spread this series out at least two years between games. Hopefully the extra time will allow them to make a quality product.
After I beat the single player and don't care anymore. However, the multiplayer is pretty slick so I might be playing that for awhile.
I picked it up yesterday and it's been pretty decent so far. The multiplayer is much improved and a lot of fun. The single player doesn't seem to run as well as the multiplayer on the same hardware. However, the graphics look the same.
Count me as another Dreamcast owner that doesn't regret buying it. Still got mine!

So what your saying is he plays Madden and does a lot of cheese. It seems that most of the better record players I run into do that. No straight up football with sound fundamentals to be found.
Things I hate when playing Madden.
1) People that go for it on 4th and 23 on their own 20 and get it.
2) No huddle offense with a fast QB just running around until there is an opening.
3) People can only play with NE or Dallas

I tried it last night and it's pretty cool and very fast. However, it's not following Vista's file type preferences and opening videos using the proper player. I can't find anyway to change that in Chrome.
I hear both Blacks and Whites drop the N word a lot when playing online. I really don't care because I'm not a politically correct guy so that doesn't mean crap to me. Nor any of the crap I hear about whites and just about every other race/sex. Say whatever you want and get some tough skin if you are going to play with the big boys. We live in a world today were everyone is super sensative.

Plasma is ok for gaming unless you can see the green phosphor trails and then it's not so hot. The Panasonic sets seem to be the worst and the Kuro sets aren't as noticable.
The new Kuro lineup and LED based LCD sets are both great for gaming. However you'll get slightly less motion blur with the Plasma.
Yup dynamic contrast ratio means nothing. It's not a standard and different companies use different criteria to determine it. Static contrast rations are closer to reality but even then some don't measure up when you put equipment on them to get an accurate reading.
I swear this site amazes me. How could anyone disagree. Go over to the AVSForum and look at post after post of people timing input lag and with the motionflow/amp processing on the input lag in through the roof. Sure it might make games smoother but your paying for that in other ways. Smear was one of them as the XBR4 was a smearfest and I had that before my 52A650.
Since your source is maxed out a 60FPS (PS3,360,Wii). The TV processor it's taking it and doubling it for 120Hz and quadrupling it for 240Hz.. If you go to a site like www.avsforum.com you’ll see that hardcore gamers turn this feature off for the most part. Why you ask? Because it creates nasty input lag and makes games like Rockband or COD4 unplayable. Your timing goes right out the window.
For the record I own a Samsung 52A650 with AMP turned off.
If Microsoft does anything with physical media moving foward I could see them buying the HDDVD spec from Toshiba. Then using that with the next system and bringing it out in a 60GB or better format. They'd probably call it something different then HDDVD though.
