I bought it on Steam and love the demo. It plays great on both the PC and 360. This should be a day one for any FPS/Horror gamers out there with friends.
I guess I'm the only one that played the Beta and didn't like it. Probably because I'm tired of WWII games. COD4 is a better game to me.
The multiplayer is a joke but the single player game was a fun ride. For $29.99 it's a good pickup.
The 7-11 off of Owings Mill Blvd in Owings Mills, MD does not have it in stock until tomorrow. However, they won't sell it until midnight.
Wow, I'd love to see what some of these guys think when they start to hit their early thirties with families. Obama is a joke but I'll be more then happy to be proven wrong. So many people falling for false hope and change. McCain wouldn't have been more Bush. McCain was a thorn in his own party's side. The fact a man who served his country like he did is losing to a man who has done nothing like Obama is mind blowing. I guess Obama talks real nice on TV.
After playing the 360 demo this seems like a solid game and at least worth a rental.
I'm looking forward to Windows 7. I think this will be the OS that puts MS back on track. Vista is actually pretty good now with driver support and stability however the early blunders pretty much made it impossible to shake the negative rep in the general publics mind.
I do like the modified Vista look going on as well.
It should be just like Bioshock. It's just a matter of going in and changing the FOV setting. However, it looks like even on the PC they lock that setting down and you can't change it.
The only reason why the PS3 and 360 via HDMI should be different is because of the settings you are using on both systems. For instance RGB Full or Limited could change your settings for the PS3. Likewise the 360 standard, expanded, etc settings will change things a little.
I'm playing on the PC and thought something was up running it on my 22" LCD at 1680x1050. I switched over to my 19" running at 1280x1024 and sure enough they are cutting off some of the top and bottom. You would think game companies would learn from others mistakes.
The best thing to do is if you have a PS3 is to get the DVE Blu-ray disc and use that to calibrate. 360 owners can also either get the HD-DVD or DVD version. I've used it with my Samsung 52A650 and have good results. It's great because there are lots of different test patterns to use, test videos, and a color filter.
Mark Walhberg stopped by for a little talk with Scott. On the way out Mark said "Say hi to your mother for me."
I have 27" Sony Wega CRT and it is a great set for it's day. However, my experiences with the Sony 40XBR3 and 46XBR4 were pretty bad. I went through a bunch of replacement sets. The 40XBR3 had terrible clouding and the 46XBR4 had dark color smear during motion which made it looks like a old 25ms LCD.
See this post I started about the 46XBR4. I have a lot of experience with the product.

You can't come to a fanboy gamer site and expect them to be display experts. Heck I bet more then half the people on this site leave there display on the factory default. Those in the know go to the avsforum.com for real tech talk on LCD and Plasma sets. The Sony looks to be a great set but the Kuro is the established benchmark for true videophiles. People need to seriously take their PS3 fanboy glasses off because in TV land Sony is good but not always the best.
I can understand why some people disagree but the Sony sets aren't all that. I've been lucky to own about 15 different LCD sets now. My current one is a 52A650 Samsung and it's been a great set. I had a 46XBR4 and it was crap for gaming as dark colors would smear. With that said the XBR8 looks to be a nice set but it's not $3k better then the 55A950. If price was no object I'd take a XBR8 but lets be honest price in today's economy is huge.
Thanks but no thanks on that overpriced TV. I'd take the 55A950 Samsung over the 55XBR8 any day of the week.
Mark Wahlberg needs to stick to Talking to Animals.

Game companies look to the holiday season to boost sales but I think it's actually hurting a lot of great games. With just so many out there it's hard for people to buy them. I think it's been proven with titles like MGS4, GTA4, etc you can launch a game anytime of the year and sell a boat load.
I wonder what that means for Norton, AVG, etc. with pay products? You have to make money somehow.
