The problem is Dead Space has since been released and does the controls better. It makes the game feel more dated. I love some RE games but this one with the extra action and tank controls don't mix well.
RE5 with DEAD SPACE controls would be nothing but WIN!
I'm assuming this is the same demo that was released in Japan not too long ago. The controls really bothered me and I've been a fan of the series since RE1. I just don't understand why they haven't developed the controls to be in line with current gen gaming experiences. The control scheme really doesn't seem to fit the additional action going on in this title.
I didn't realize the Sham Wow could be used as a weapon or clothing for that matter.
I just played the demo on the PC. It's fun and looks sweet at 1080P maxed out. I don't have an uber PC either.
The PC version blows both away. I was playing it tonight at real 1080P maxed out and it looks great. No I'm not running an uber PC. Just two 8800GTS 512MB cards in SLI with a Q6600 CPU and wait for it..............Vista 64BIT. Oh no he said VISTA!
Have fun using less then 4GB of RAM. I know you could go XP 64bit but support for it is not as good as Vista and Windows 7 64bit.
Windows 7 is nothing but win!
SORRY STEELER FANS YOU ALREADY CASHED YOUR CHIPS IN THE FIRST TWO GAMES!
Get ready to get FLACCO'D!
From my experiences so far with the Beta I would tell you go ahead. It's stable and works great.
I'm running the x64 version of Windows 7 on my girlfriends laptop now. It's much faster then the 32bit version of Vista she had on it. Good stuff here from MS.
I finally picked up Lost Odyssey and I'm really enjoying it. I haven't played a jrpg in years. I recommend picking up this game and give it a play through at least the first DVD. Things really pick up on the second DVD and it's a fun ride to the end.
I really wish they just made these add-ons to the main Guitar Hero game that you could port from one to another.
After playing the demo even the RE4 controls fail with all that action going on. They work better with a few characters but the controls are just not responsive enough for the gameplay the demo presented.
I was really into Gears 1 multi with my friends. However, we have barely played Gears 2 together. There is a truth to that fact it seems broken in certain ways. Then charging for more maps right off the bat just doesn't sit well.
Dude I own all three systems. I'll call out any company I see if. It's not all MS because there are other games that offer free content. Epic probably didn't want to part with any of the money they have been making hand over fist as a thank you to the fans.
800 MS Points! Awesome Epic. I guess their idea of fan service is from the back. I'm going to pass until they get the multiplayer worked out.
I'm suprised this isn't being brought up more. MS is going to extremes just to keep people from playing a DEMO! Which the point of a DEMO is to showcase a title to potential buyers. Having played the RE5 demo I'm not sure what Capcom or MS has to worry about. The game looks good, so what's the problem? It's not like you can unlock the whole game from it or something. Heck it fits on a CD.
It's crazy how they make trophies out to be such a hard thing to do. It's not like they can't take the 360 acheivements and assign a trophy to them.
I own the game on both consoles. It's clear that the 360 version is the more polished build. However, right now I play the PS3 version more because I haven't got an arcade stick for my 360 yet. I network code for the PS3 is almost broken. I can't tell you how many times I've been dropped where there are little to no issues with my 360. Lag free games are almost impossible to find on PS3. I'm not sure why they didn't do an open beta on the system as well.
I have to agree with your thoughts on the demo. While RE4 is a great game Capcom doesn't seem to be keeping up with the gameplay advances in RE5. After playing Dead Space it makes RE5 really hard to play.
