Hmm....gotta wonder if it's really that good or if R* is still reaping the benefits of GTA4 (which I thought was good but not nearly as good as the critics made it out to be).
I think I'll rent RDR and see for myself. Can't really trust reviewers these days because when they overrate a game they really overrate a game.
There were some little things that kept it from being AAA in this guy's opinion. No prob there. The gamespot forum rules are crazy anyway. Anything less than AAA on Gamespot and Gamespot only is a flop depending on the hype? B.S.
Alan Wake looks like a really really solid title. When I get my 360 that and Reach will probably be my first two purchases.
GT5 this holiday season and gamers everywhere rejoice.
Modnation or Demons Souls. Not sure which one I'm going to get just yet.
First of all, man up. That goes to both Tor and HHG. If it's that bad on N4G then leave. No one is forcing you to use N4G or read what people post! While we're talking about reading posts, you always say that people shouldn't read HHG stories or watch his videos if they hate him, right? Well the same goes for you two. If you can't stand the hate then don't read what people write. Again, you wouldn't see any N4G hate at all if you didn't use N4G. And if someone submits your story on here, the ...
when/if that NFL exclusive deal with Directtv expires and something like this but with the NFL is made available.
I appreciate them just as much as the humorous ads that Sony puts out. But if I had to chose, I'm giving the nod to Epic. The music, the direction, the pacing...all unparalleled.
I understand the move to get rid of game sharing but I gotta say it would really suck if they got rid of it or did this online requirement for all PSN games. I don't game share on the level of some forums and sites. I have 3 close buds that I trust with my account info and vice versa. It was cool being able to share games for obvious reasons. The fact that Sony even had something like this available at all was surprising. Glad I took advantage of it while i could.
I think he meant to say "fees" instead of "features."
just a shame that it came from one of the biggest fanboys out there.
I get the fact that devs ability to patch console games has been a double edged sword. It works in our favor because before the proliferation of the internet, a broker game was forever a broken game. It works against us (gamers) because now devs are more prone to release a broken game in order to meet a deadline and simply plan to patch it later.
But why is it that a major game like Gears 2 has, by and large, stayed broken? And it's not just Gears 2 because Modern Warfare 2 is su...
You said exactly what I was going to say. The PS3 is the more powerful system. There's no arguement. It's therefore inconsistent for a game to hit the PS3 graphical ceiling (meaning look as good or better than GOW3) and look the same on the 360. Sorry Crytek, but you can't have it both ways.
I doubt it was the dad. It was probably the kid pretending to be his dad so he would be taken seriously and wouldn't feel embarrassed. I don't like many of MS' policies but I'm loving this. HOpefully the other jerks out there take notice and cut the crap.
He keeps saying this. What's his deal? Does he want the price to increase? He called this about six months ago and it never happened. Now he's doing it again? Patcher, when you predict something and you're wrong you don't keep making that prediction in the hopes that it comes true (see Wii HD will be available in the holiday of 09).
PS3 is the sole reason I purchased an HDtv. I did my research and when I found out about HDMI and the benefits of it, I said I had to splurge on the HDtv to make my gaming habit complete. KZ2 only further vindicated my purchase.
And the graphics of the game didn't really get to the jaw dropping level, for me, until the level after Sev jumps off the bridge and has to proceed through a sewer pipe. That moment, when the lightening is crackeling, and the grit and dirt within that se...
Final Fantasy 3 for the SNES (or 6 in Japan I believe) remade with HD visuals and trophies/achievements would surprise me. Or maybe some sort of new FF done in the world of 7 with gameplay like seven (ala gameplay that doesn't give you an effing 20 hour tutorial).
Sorry, Jaffe. You're right. It's not fair. Were it not for PSN game sharing maybe 50 people would've bought Calling all Cars rather than 10. /s
Seriously, I like the whole "game sharing" feature. First of all giving my password to someone is a MAJOR deterrent. I only do that for close friends and family. How some of you do that crap over the net is crazy to me but to each their own.
(of MS and Sony) to release their next console will lose the current console war. MS only saw the short term advantages of releasing their console a year before Sony. Rushing the hardware out the gate resulted in the hardware problems, the desire to be cheaper resulting in some skus lacking a hdd which is only a detriment to devs, and by rushing out to beat Sony their limited to DVD9 and not a larger format.
Now in the short term, all that paid off. But how much longer can they ...
GTA underdelivered, but it did NOT suck. I was able to get a handle on the driving mechanics but I felt they should've left it aracadey like in past GTAs. Also, the seriousness of the story sorta kept them from really doing any of the zany stuff with Niko that we all like.
But I will be getting these two DLCs...probably just for the Gay Tony stuff.
No probs here. 45 seconds of loading is no biggie to me. Then again I'm a guy that owned a Sega CD. Talk to me or anyone else that owned that WIlly Beamish game if you want to hear horror stories about load times.
