I remember when I first got mine how excited I was about it then and that pales to what it does now. I can't wait for in-game xmb.
everything else is cake. Great game Infinity Ward. Too bad COD5 is WWII.
and Sony will reclaim it's spot as the top true next-gen console. That's not a shot at the Wii so don't take it as that.
PS3 games all have their own engines. You can't really run the Unreal Engine on it BUT you can build your own engine and do things the Unreal Engine just can't. Uncharted anyone? The Unreal Engine might be the biggest detriment to the 360. Devs just followed the leader instead of doing something new.
The only people that didn't want to accept this were the G4 hosts (that Adam Sessler especially) and the fanboys. When Kojima said PS3 was the theater and 360 was the cd (or something like that) I knew it wasn't happening. When Sony was said to be making the MGS4 movie I was certain. And then when I read about the amount of space they're using (not to mention the certain amount of HDD space they're going to take from me) I was beyond certain.
I love Halo. If I want to play it, I...
With a standard HDD and the ability to use any drive you want (I upped mine to 160 for a mere 30 bucks) it only makes sense to do this. It's overdue imo. Sony has music, movies, and a plethora of games yet to be released that were PS1 and PS2 classics. C'mon Sony, get on it. We all want this.
Wow it feels good to be a PS3 owner.
I'm not sure what they consider to be medium high settings but if I'm going to pay 900 bucks for "medium high" then why not pay less than half that to play it for the same. Yes, I'm saying that the PS3 will be able to run it at those "medium high" settings. My point was that to play Crysis at it's max you need a machine that costs a lot of money. I'd rather play it on PS3 and get a comparable version than pay 900 bucks to have something that's not what the max.
With the games, movies, and in-game xmb it's like a perfect storm. MS could learn a lesson from Sony: when you don't rush something it's all the better when it does come out.
Harry Potter, I guess you've played Home. You just know it will be everything we've been promised, huh? And fyi, I'm a proud PS3 owner. PSN: Lifendz if you wanna check. My point was that the 360 is not as bad as some on here make it out to be. That being said, I didn't pick one up but I could see why some would. Now let's stop all this back and forth and get a session of COD4.
= a harder time putting it on 360 than PS3.
until GTA, MGS4, and the holiday season games come out. People are going to want either a 360 or a PS3 once GTAIV is available.
Xbox does not suck. MS made some mistakes but were it not for hardware issues the Xbox would be the best videogame console to date. Achievements, custom soundtracks, a much better online system, I could go on and on. The reason I didn't get one is because I love Final Fantasy games, read all the reviews on PS3 which stated it was the more powerful console, and the hardware problems. Ease up on MS. I look forward to their next console hopefully improving on the 360's shortcomings.
Do you have the kind of disposable income required to get that sort of game on a PC and run it at optimal settings? If so, god bless you. Most of us don't. This way I can get Crysis and, while it won't be as pretty as it's PC counterpart, it will be as good as it can get. Go PS3
Why does it have to be get a life? These are exciting features and there's nothing wrong with wanting them now. I was hoping we'd at least get to use a custom avatar for our PSN avatar much like we can for our user id. That should've been there from day one imo.
and I'm surprised it's getting so much negative press. Sony always gives us something new. Whether it be sixaxis, dvd standard to blu-ray standard, to free online, to Home.
nor would I pay someone else to paint it. Sorry but that warranty means the world to me.
Just a console with a controller. Or maybe a Superbad pack?
can't wait
Sony's quiet about anything they haven't officially announced yet. In this industry with so much expected from EVERY industry event-E3, GDC, TGS, etc-they have to keep some things secret. That's fine with me. I know it's coming and it'll be not only great to have but also free.
Games, Blu-ray, and extended functionality for PSN = a very good year for Sony.
