if they price it at a reasonable price for a game that's been out for what...a year? That's why I passed on Bioshock. If it were 39.99 then maybe. 29.99 then defintely. But full retail price for a game that sells on 360 for around 20 bucks used is not happening.

Nintendo is more of a toy than a console. People are buying it for Wii Sports and nothing else. Wii with a higher install base than MS and Sony can't sell 3rd party games anywhere near as well as either. Please.

I don't have the fastest connection but I tend to leave my PS3 on. That said, I usually get to see everyone's avatar when I want to see a bud. I think it would be great to have more than Sony's current selection and it maybe taking longer to load is not persuasive at all.

you ever watch someone play on live or actually try to do it yourself? It's insane how many matches just drop or how hard it is to get a match going. And I'm talking AAA releases!
I'd be surprised if PS3 wasn't around for 12 years. They did Killzone 2 in two years and change. Look at the game and tell me you're not impressed. Imagine what they can do in another two years.

include one of four limited figurines, a making of blu-ray disc including dev thoughts about the infamous 2005 E3 trailer, focus testing, etc. Perhaps an art book and some sort of item I can use online to show I splurged and bought the collector's edition (ala Gears 2 golden lancer).

Wii is a phenom. Who could've predicted Nintendo could take a gamecube, add a motion controller, and it would sell like crazy. Kudos to Nintendo but Sony is not done. If it wasn't for the year headstart Sony would be right there with MS.

One of the many reasons I chose PS3 over the comp. Digital Distribution? It took me almost 3 hours to download a movie and I have a broadband connect. And most people are going to want to have a physical form of their movies (not talking the tech savy types). Blu-ray is the future.
You want cash for your old stuff? Sell it directly on an auction site. Gamestop gives you maybe 17 bucks for a game. You could probably get 10 bucks more if you sold it yourself online. and sold it on Ebay for almost 80 bucks. I couldn't believe there was such demand for it. I thought about keeping it but I wanted to pick up some new games (COD4 and Burnout) and I'm happy I did. My friend has Panzer Dragoon RPG, FFVII, and some other games that are worth big money on the used market but won't sell them. I guess nostalgia is stronger in some of us.

well MS is a software company so them not releasing many bug fixes isn't really that surprising.
Just like Sony is a hardware company so their hardware being uber reliable isn't that surprising.
Picking between the two, I'd take a firmware update any day of the week over faulty hardware. I lose maybe 10 minutes of play time during the update (and that's assuming I want to play games but can't because of the update) while MS takes 2 to 4 weeks to repair 360s.
