From what I could tell it is not portable at all. You see the controller but never actually see the console. You see the BOX beside the TV set that is supposedly connecting the video to the TV. But nothing of the actual system. The BOX was not large enough to have a hard drive nor a disk system. And Nintendo even went so far as to make sure they identified that the system was not meant to be played as a stand alone. Though you can use the controller to view the video source.
You mean the Zelda stage show? It was a video being played with no real interaction between anyone playing. It was all fabricated to show what it MIGHT look like. There was NO video showing any real Nintendo graphics show cased. Hell... almost all of the videos of games were from PS3 and 360 game coverage. Weak!!!

Not sure how YOU disable them? There is no option to disable the ads on your dashboard that I know of.
But regardless... the adds are far and few between. I answered a previous concern on ads for the dashboard and identified that there is rarely 1 or 2 add out of each blade (I know they don't call them blades anymore) section. And some sections have no adds at all. Anyone NOT having a 360 couldn't really know what the dashboard advertisement scheme even looks like. ...

I would have to disagree with that... Fable series has been very good in my eyes. Now I can't say the same about Too Human which had an ok demo but the game just fell totally flat.

As for bluray... Sony adopted it to push their format nothing more. As they always do they try to push a media storage that will help them make more profit by securing a media type that they are directly invested in.
