1 bubble calling others trolls. Funny. Obviously if he looked at the makeup of N4G he would see that the majority of users are now Sony fans versus any other console.
I guess we can re-attack this question at the end of the week then?
Trying to think of how much I have spent in the past on updating my PC in an 8 year time period? I could have all three consoles and still have money left over to buy the next generation of consoles coming out for each system.
PCs are money pits. I need them because I use them to create media and Indie development. But I keep my gaming purely off PC. I even run my XNA test games through my Xbox 360. I don't enjoy playing on my PC and most of gamers feel the same.
It's funny that this is a video report on Call of Duty Elite but the first think people focus on is that of the XBL reference in the report.
As for the liking the Elite status for the tracking portion of it. Well Bungie offers that for free on their site for Reach and charges extra only for those that wish to upgrade their storage for extra media storage and access to video conversion. Wish that more companies would look at Bungie as an example.
The Sega games I would most like to see on XBLA are Mystaria, Mr Bones, Guardian Heroes, SpaceHulk, Dragon Force and the D series.
So looks like they got one off my list. Just need to work on the others.
Not as easy as that. GH on XBLA was a no brainer with the game already having the capabalities to quickly adapt to the programing needs on Xbox. To move it to PSN is not as simple and would actually cost a lot more. They are wondering if they will get a return on it's investment. Which is a valid concern with the PSN store having no near future return date announced? (note: not a hit on SOny just a valid concern for Segas PSN adaption)
I disagree... I have enjoyed Guardian Heroes and it is one of only a few Saturn games that I still have and play to this date.,,, and though Shenmue III is a much sought after game I don't see it as needing to take any lime light away from GH as it stands on it's own merits.
And Shenmue III needs to come out as a new formulated game experience that matches current generation graphics and game play. It does not need to be an XBLA game or PSN version but instead a ful...
Has to do with different philosophy when it comes to advertisement. Sony pushes more for the build up to get people to anticiapate the purchase. Microsoft tends to lean more to the here it is and not show it's cards before the hand is over.
Both ways has their pros and cons... but either way people are going to be talking AFTER E3, would you rather they be talking about seeing something they didn't expect or talking about something that didn't live up to what t...
@r1sh12
I see the issue. I should have said the "X" button instead of the "Y" button. At the bottom of the screen it says Buy with Microsoft Points and has the blue X button beside it. Don't use the Change Payment Option. That only allows you to use Paypal or add another credit card. (note the Paypal is something new for me... first I have seen of that option)
People aren't seeing the potential. What they appear to be doing is testing the waters. Who will purchase the elite package and for what added benefits. Later more benefits will be added and further review will be done to see how many more have taken the bait. Eventually the data will be collated and a determination will be made as to if they can go with a pay to play system as they have previously eluded to needing to happen for games to move forward.
So if we agree with the concept then we can go ahead and voice our opinion on it, yet if we disagree with the concept then we shouldn't be able to voice our concerns??
Keep gaming hard because your social skills are lacking.
Some of us are concerned with the potential for abuse that this type of service can lead to. No different then those who complained about DLCs and that they were only taking away functions that are already on the disc and making u...
@ForNgoods
Good point. I would edit your responce of people buying PS3 for free online to read closer to people buying PS3 for online at no added expense.
For those that think that you shouldn't expect anything from the online due to it being free are masking the fact that online was offered as part of the deal when you purchased your PS3 and the FREE portion was just an aditional purchase point.
In this day and age if you buy a nex...
Nice advertisement. Hhhhmmmm... yet it doesn't say advertisement beside the post just "news"? Why?
You are incorrect... you may purchase games on demand with your MS points. Though the price is listed in dollar amount... you have the option of pressing "Y" on the purchase tab to change it to points versus dollars.
I believe the strategy is more to help them deal with universal price costs and help eliminiate some issues where MS would be forced to pay for numerous small credit card transaction fees for some purchases. Think of the millions of $1 transactions that occur on xbox live... and then think of the transaction fee that MS would have to pay for credit card companies on each of those transactions.
Nickels and dimes add up. And in the end those $1 games would eventually be more...
So YOU had the choice between spending less and watch the games on your cable box but chose to spend extra and purchase more points then you need. (which you will still be able to get value from those extra points spent)
Seems to me like YOU thought that it was worth the temporary cost to watch the movies in the fashion that you did. Why again are you complaining? YOU made the choice.
If you don't want to use the points then don't buy them. Simple...
I can use them to purchase games if I want. I can use them to purchase movies. But becasue I can't purchase Xbox Live itself then I should be getting upset? I can't buy gas with it and am not upset.
Get over it...
I get FREE points every month on Xbox Live rewards... I am sure giving out free money would not be cost effective. Points is an efficient way...
I am not sure if you are just the most optomistic person in the world or the most clueless?
Not a personal attack... I really am wondering.
Metal slug isn't a continuos scroll as this appears to be. And Metal SLug gives you stick control. This falls closer in line with pew pew pew pew pew (not sure if I got enough pews in there?)
Just a matter of time. The 3DS iteslf was hackable prior to many retailers getting the device in their stores.
If it is a challenge to hackers and can be made profitable then it can be done.
Already have modders here stating they can hack a 3DS to allow you to turn off the auto Wifi and auto updates. and they already have modified firmwares available. Asked when a bootleg copy of Ridge Racer 3D would be available... was told they were hoping about Novemb...
