I think more so it is the analog control that really set Halo up to rule the roost in FPS controller configuration. Transfering the keyboard mouse controls of PC FPS games and having your right analog stick being basically your mouse and your left stick being your movement. Allowing your thumbs to do your moving while your fingers squeeze those triggers.
Seeing that the dollar was only worth about 76 Cents (that is three quarters and a penny) 10 years ago versus today due to inflation I think he got his moneys worth. :D
But these days DVD playback is a minimum option. We expect our game systems that are hooked up to our TV in the living room to be able to play simple DVDs.
Yes we can buy another device to add to the tech mess we already have in our living rooms... but we don't expect to have to.

Only one user per system will have the use of the controller. Nintendo has already specified that the controller will not be sold seperately. All other users will have to use ulternate controllers i.e. Wii controllers. So not thinking the data will be stored with the controller per say.

You are right Democracy is so terrifying. I would much rather have just one person tell me what to do and how to do something.
Why should I have to listen to all these other people's poor opinions when I could have a non-democratic experience and have just one person tell me what is good! Then if I only have to listen to that one person then it won't be so scary for me.

Sales ultimately factor in to what games are available for your platform. If games do not sell then developers will move to a platform that will gain more sales.

I was not even aware that it was available on copy of Conviction? I guess after L.A. Noire I will have to throw it in my Xbox 360 and check it out.
I purchased Conviction on it's own merits.
I can get me steak anytime I want. I just go to the freezer and heat up the grill. Now McDonald's is a staple that you just keep coming back to.
Steak is great... but I could NEVER eat steak as often as McDonald's it would loose it's appeal.

You also realize that one of the main selling points of the Wii is the group play? Nintendos main selling point for their console has been this fact that you and your family can sit around (or stand) and play together.
So Wii is not what you might call the average console when it comes to player numbers. They focus on party games heavily.

You would have to buy a new system completely to get your hands on another controller because Nintendo has aleady said they will not be selling the controllers seperately.
