Step 1: Roll out redundant argument framed by contrasting the PS4 and Xbox One.
Step 2: Troll N4G, hitting that "refresh" button every five seconds, in anticipation of the coming conflict.
Step 3: Write an "I'm so above it all," hyperbolic, follow-up article about how the console war (which was being battled way back before Sony and MS even entered the game) is "catastrophically depressing."
@Imalwaysright
While you're failing to prove I was a hypocrite, I'll prove that you are. Here you are, now, dumping on people for mentioning graphics, but weren't you the one declaring that you don't care what the "Xbots" think because the jungle screenshots in Halo 3 sucked, and putting up shots of the jungle from Uncharted for comparison?

@Imalwaysright
I'll tell you what smart guy, since you're lobbing around the word "hypocrite," why don't you show where I've changed my argument back and FORTH. If you can do that, I may change my mind about you simply being here to troll with personal attacks.
@Imalwaysright
Where did I say that graphics aren't a main selling point? That's your problem. You lack reading comprehension and/or hear what you want to hear, then swear people are hypocrites because YOU got it wrong. I know exactly what tripped you up. Try a bit of reading comprehension, then come back.
That's not what the vast majority of people argue. Like Boyd, you deliberately replace the opposing argument with an oversimplified straw-man argument because you can't debate honestly.
Of course FPS and resolution matter. It's the main selling point for PC gaming. There is no statistically significant percentage of people denying that. They buy consoles because it has other advantages. You and MS are the ones making these ridiculous arguments where only one thin...
I still have my PS3 and Vita, and all of the great games on those platforms. I was on a serious Persona kick until recently. I also just got a 3DS over the holidays, and have a Wii U. So, basically, I have lots of games to divide my attention. I'm pretty busy with my work lately, which has caused me to cut down on my gaming considerably. That's why I stopped playing Persona. With all of that said, I've still been making time, late nights, to play Outlast. And that's a free tit...
I don't think that's a dead franchise.
Really? Because I've been told, directly, by a mod (in a conversation witnessed by other mods) that the mods here don't approve articles about the two influential MS investors pressuring the new CEO to drop Xbox because it's supposedly not gaming news.
1) Read over 1OddWorld's comment a few thousand times, until it starts to sink in.
2) In my experience, the vast majority of console gamers don't downplay the graphics capabilities of the PC,at all. They acknowledge them, but prefer what consoles offer. You don't get these silly comments about not being able to notice the difference.
Do you have a 1080p television?
Of course you try to downplay undisputed PS4 advantages while hyping perceived Xbox advantages. Just the other day you were on multiple sites trying to play up XB1 selling more software than PS4 in Jan., until people pointed out to you that you had fallen for PR spin and such was not the case.
"Dualshockers for awhile tried to be respectable but now they seem to be agitated and desperate or something. Back on the hate bandwagon trying to get clicks by purposely writing slanderish articles based on BS and they know it."
You can't write slander (unless you're talking about writing the word "slander," which you clearly weren't).
By the way, where are all of the people who were talking about "market share," once the PS3 overtook 360 sales? Then the argument became "market share." Well, the PS4 just sold nearly twice as much in MS' strongest market for the 360. It's being beaten, badly, in its other strong market, the UK.
Why is it that people are so hung up on Microsoft being that competition? Xbox isn't even guaranteed to go away if MS drops out of the game, but even if it did Nintendo is still out there, Steam Machines are on the horizon, and Amazon is trying to dip its toe into the water. There are actually more legit players now than there were in the SNES vs Sega Genesis days.
@georgenoob
1) Who cares how many territories they launched in? Israel is a territory, just as the US is. Would you say it was fair if Sony launched in only the US and Xbox launched in only Israel, because they each launched in one territory? Don't be silly. It has nothing to do with the number of territories. One company is choosing to sell less product, per territory, in more territories, while the other is trying to sell more consoles, per territory, in those markets w...
@xDHAVOK24x
Think about what you're saying. If everyone bought 2 PS4's and flipped them, those PS4's are still going into consumer hands. In fact, that would mean that the PS4 is so popular, that half the consumer base was willing to buy it at an inflated price.
Didn't they already clown you in the comments section over on Dual Shockers for falling for that MS spin?

Wow. Really? Did you just come back from a Klan meeting?
Update: Definitely didn't expect that from someone so stuck on 2pac.
Dev support, more money equals more investment, makes the gaming division valuable to the parent company, and most importantly it pushes trends. Just look at what the Wii did. What would the Xbox look like without the Wii inspiring it to get into motion controls?
Well said bubble for you.
I don't get these arguments that console wars are bad. Console wars are the product of competition! Start worrying when there isn't a console war. I also don't get this, relatively, new argument popping up that we should want all console manufacturers to succeed. That's nonsense. If you genuinely feel that a company is bad for gaming, setting bad precedents for gaming, etc., then you should want them out of the industry. It's not...
