The casual market that those two systems heavily relied on changed, which is why the system that courted them the least suffered the least.
"Sony is focusing on games with PS4; MS is releasing big games on XB1, PC and 360 thus dividing gamers by taking away incentives to upgrade."
Are you serious? I don't even know where to begin to address that absurdity.
@KNWS
I can't, in good conscience, watch you waltz into the slaughter. Edit that comment before the onslaught of ridicule comes.
The headline takes his comment out of context. He was laughing when he said it. I don't think he was really trying to suggest/beg people to go out and buy it.
Like the PS3 online? If anything, this is a move that is more in line with the practices of MS, strong arming the customer base into upgrading.
@Ck1x
What scott182 said. You're talking a separate issue. It's fine to recognize and critique GG for the deception regarding KZ's MP resolution. Personally, I think there should be a standard where the resolution is listed for each mode, the same way the number of players is, and specific reference be made to whether the resolution is native or upscaled. It would be nice if reviews could include that information, too.
But acknowledging that is d...
You keep talking about stupid comments, but the same can be said about the comments you've made here. You're ranting and raving about fanboys and directing criticism at me for positions I haven't taken. You look at issues from the most simplistic perspective possible for you to maintain your indignation.
That's why I questioned you on bringing up KZ in relation to what X1 can do. It really has nothing to do with X1 not being as powerful as PS4, so I don't ...
No, Ryse is not. If you're going to troll, do it right. You only have two shots at it.
If you're going to say Ryse is the best looking, you have to stick to a subjective argument. You can't get greedy by alluding to specs in trying to take a shot at Killzone, because the specs say Killzone is better looking than Ryse.
If you want to go specs, you have to talk about Forza being 1080p, as if the massive downgrade it took to get there doesn't ma...
Xbox 1080, which is either 720 or turning portions of your game into cardboard just so you can say you got it to 1080.
Wait, wait, wait. Stop. By bringing up KZ, are you trying to imply that the PS4 is not significantly more powerful than the Xbox?
They also had billions when they stopped supporting Zune. Learn how business works.
"Says who" what? Nothing is being twisted. It's reading comprehension. It's facts. You can't just look at facts and poo-poo them because they don't fit your narrative.
For those questioning people's reading comprehension, this is talking about how the initial deal with MS came about, not the supposed alteration EA made to the deal for permanent exclusivity.
You do realize that such blatantly bitter trolling has the opposite effect of what you intend, right? No one is reading your comment and saying "Oh, yeah. I didn't realize that. That's a good point." People look at a comment like yours and laugh at the bitter desperation that went into making it.
It's like this: If you love MS and/or Xbox and hate Sony and/or PS4, or vice versa, but would feel the opposite if the names of the companies and products were swapped, that's the problem.
In addition to Killzone, I was just playing Knack over the weekend, played Trine 2 in 3D, and am loving Resogun, Outlast, and Don't Starve; half of those games came free with Plus.
People need to step back and put things in perspective. The 7th gen was the worse performance Sony has had in the console gaming market. Think about that. A generation in which Sony still outsold the 360, and may still beat out the Wii for #1, was Sony's worse. This was always the most likely outcome. People just wanted to blind themselves to that reality.
Because, this is their diplomatic way of saying that the surprising success of the PS4 caught them off guard.
For the Xbox crowd, are we really questioning which is the more powerful system?
So, about those "market share" arguments that replaced "sales" arguments once the PS3 overtook the 360 in total sales...
Ask PS2.
