Dino Crisis 2 needs a sequel after that cliffhanger ending.
I keep seeing this term "early adopter" come up. Early adopters expect to pay more than those that wait until later, but three months out is still in early adopter territory. Early adopt don't expect other early adopters to get not only a price cut, but a product that is a better value proposition, head to head, than the product they bought at the higher price.
That said, I wouldn't be mad at MS for doing it. Unless you buy into the PR spin, it's clear ...
@deadfrag
Those are two totally different situations. Amazon has the right, if they so chose, to say who can sell on their site. They don't have the right to tell someone, after buying a product, how much it can resell for.
You are aware what the "S" in MSRP stands for, right? It is a messed up move by GS, though.
And that comment right there is why you shouldn't be talking business.
The House? Really? Aren't they supposed to be all about limited government? It's more like limit the opponents form of government and impose our own.
The worst fanboys are Sony fanboys, because this video got pulled, but you can't even give anything beyond speculation to support that any Sony fans had this video pulled. Meanwhile, MS is actually paying off YouTubers.
Stop it with the hyped up family sharing argument. Straight from Marc Whitten:
"I just want, as much as possible, to replicate the experience that a typical family has with physical content with digital content."
"At the same time, you need to do a good job of managing that there's only ‘one copy' of the game and this isn't some unbounded sharing club that isn't fair for the game creators.
"It would be cool...
@KingDavid
Back up your argument. Show some sign that a negative perception is starting to hurt Sony.
You do know that 43 markets is just a number, right? Not all markets are equal, as they would need to be for your argument to have any merit. The markets that Xbox hasn't launched in aren't going to significantly close the gap when Xbox does launch in those territories. How many sales do you expect to see from those territories, since that's your...
@KingDadXVI
What hkgamer said. We can argue back and forth on the quality of Sony's offering, but it's silly, and contradictory to your own argument, to say that they have a perception problem, right now.
Dude. Just stop. You can argue all of the subjective stuff you want, but you can't argue the sales. Sony is killing it. They don't need to change their perception. That's laughable.
Sounds like the writer just fell for some PR spin. He never bothered to question what the benefit is to such a move, in either situation. Was the plan to let Sony jump out ahead, then try to play catch-up? Doesn't sound like a great plan. You drop the price when you can't get what you want at the current price. No conspiracy.
This is the only game where I will buy a copy for my Vita, after having already bought the PS3 version at full retail.
I can't help but feel like the Xbox UK price drop was the impetus for this article. Not to be offensive, but going by the article's language, even in the case of Xbox in the UK, who is the bigger sucker, the one that invests in the console at launch or the one that invests in the console that is in such desperate shape that it has to resort to permanently slashing the price this early, and including copies of Titanfall? I say the former invested in something that seemed to have a more...
Feels like a sucker for buying launch consoles, because their libraries are thinner. Feels like a sucker for buying software, like Tomb Raider, only to see a definitive edition come out later.
Solution: Hold off buying AAA releases in the months before a console launch, then bolster your next gen console's library with the definitive editions of those games you held out on.
Question: How do you give an article a "funny" bubble?
@Volkama
OMG. It doesn't take an English major to figure this stuff out. It really doesn't.
What Stuna1 said:
"It's amazing people are using this stance in their argument now! Last Gen people wanted to see Sony and the PS3 reduced to a smothering pile of plastic! "
How you misread it:
"Note how you see an opinion piece from an individual, label the person a collective 'people...
Through faulty calculations which assume that PS4 nearly doubling Xbox One sales in North America means the PS4 had nearly double Xbox One sales worldwide. They then subtract the last reported number of PS4's sold from the recent announced number and divide that by half to estimate the number of Xbox Ones sold between that time, then add that to MS' previous figure for a total.
Problem is the double sold only applied to NA. Could be the same, more, or less world wide...
I don't know why some of you are astonished that you're getting disagrees. You come off like, "Hey, the other day I had this unpopular opinion which got me, like, 40 disagrees, but now I found this other guy who has the same opinion. Do you know what that means? Yeah. 2 opinions to your 40. Eat it."
No.
Edit: Just wiki'd it.
