I hope Sony FINALLY gets a game that sets a new standard in graphics, something the 360 has been doing for over 3 YEARS. If you think that the 360 will not up the ante afterward youre sorely mistaken.

How many different K2 posts go up here a day? It doesnt really matter to me much, but if I were really waiting for this game, I would stop reading and looking at all this coverage. Its just too much info....kinda spoils the experience a bit when u actually play the game.

How does IGN hand out one of their very few 10's to GTA IV, yet it isnt GOTY? They can try and explain it, but it just wouldnt suffice for me personally.
That being said, Fallout 3 is a definite GOTY contender, and I dont think it was a bad choice. I think Gears 2 simply blew everything else out the water, but maybe thats just me....;)
Cant wait to see more from this game. Im curious to see how they have tweaked the Halo 3 engine since then, how it will look and play, especially compared to Halo 3.

The numbers are the numbers...thems is the brakes. Silly how some people on here actually state those numbers arent accurate. Of course they are. A huge company like MS cant come out and purposefully give false info on sales.
Fact is they have maintained their lead on the PS3, and even increased it 500K in the US YOY.
So? Both games are absolute monsters, with millions sold in a matter of weeks. COD has built a strong series, and is 5 games deep now, so kudos to them. Same for Epic. And its no secret that people really like COD MP.
I own both BTW...actually, I just finished COD earlier today. Great game. Though the AI isnt too different with re-spawning and stuff, it felt a bit more tuned than last year...just felt less "set-up" than CoD 4. Plus how cool is it to have Jack ...
After all, Gabe Newell has been pretty vocal about not putting this out on PS3. But if it is, it will be a different EA dev doing the job instead of Valve (like the Orange Box), and will prob take a while.

The PS2 and PSP's sales were both down from last year. The PSP had identical HW sales, but more SW sales last year, while the PS2 has dropped sales significantly on both.
The only bright spot for Sony over this week last year is that the PS3 (which sold identical HW units) sold +600k SW titles. But that is compared to +1.1 million for 360 and +2 million for Wii over last year.
Interesting trends. Amazingly, 360 SW outsells PS3/PS2/PSP SW combined. Looks also that at least 70k (over 50%) of 360's sold were of the $299 or above variety, which would roughly equal the amount of PS3's sold total for the period (look at bundled Kung Fu Panda/Indy sales...)
