Yes but there seems to be some confusion between CGI, engine cutscenes, and gameplay. I hear people freaking out: "OMFG ! That reveal was really disappointing. Would it have hurt them to show 30 seconds of, you know, actual gameplay? This is going to be a game and not a movie so why not show some? Even if it just had him going through foliage which then opens up to a cliff-top vista then ends. If they say it is 2015 (of which I am skeptical) then they must have some actual gameplay could show.

Not only disappointing but maddening. Why do I need to see 10 minutes of cutscene and NO gameplay? It is a GAME right? Then show - the GAME! It is so simple and obvious, are these guys imbeciles? You would think they would know we hate that kind of stuff.

No it wasn't CGI but it was just a cutscene, which is close. With that there are many game related things you don't need to do. This frees up ALL resources to be put into just rendering polygons and textures. You don't need to worry about pesky AI, physics and other CPU intensive tasks. Don't get your hopes up that the actual game will look as good. It will look good, just not as good.

You can concentrate everything in to the area in front of the scripted camera. It was just spooling polygons and textures. Anyone thinking the GAME will look as good will be disappointed.

Looks great and this appears to be from the PS4 version (Sony "Square" button icon shows up at 2:10). Looks like it is running well this early, can't wait.
It is gameplay and looks to be the PS4 version. In the beginning (2:10) when he gets grapple and wingsuit and starts jumping from cliffs you can see the icon for the Sony "square" button.
The stuff looked great but after seeing Watchdogs at E3 which then got the downgrade who knows what will actually ship. I wouldn't get hopes up, Ubi is known for awesome reveals and bullshots, then under delivering.
This guy said he is no gamer. That explains it and he thinks it is cool to yell at his TV to change channels. I just think it is a sad commentary on how lazy we have become, now using a TV remote has become too much work apparently. When I hear this I just imagine a world of people sitting on their couches like Jabba the Hut stuffing their faces and yelling at their TVs, and are too huge to leave the house.
Psnow has an uphill battle. It needs a super fast, reliable, and unlimited data connection to be practical. The laggy and stuttery gameplay will turn off many. I avoid download titles completely and never buy indies. If they get to keep my money forever, I want to keep my game forever.

Not at all. They have different versions for different purposes. Ever hear of LOD management? Models change fidelity in games on the fly to cull polygons. That is why you see in some games objects in the distance look like origami, then get more refined as you get closer.
