@Ninver
They do this crap to coax preorders. They show some bullshots and a trailer from god knows what and people go mental and all OMFG LOOK AT DEM GRAFX!!!!! Then proceed to dump bucketloads of cash on preorders.
STOP PREORDERING!!! it only encourages this. preordering is retarded, it is not like they will run out and you will never find the game again.
Yeah, they are called first releases.
When you buy a new game on day one it isn't finished/complete which is why you need to instantly run to the internet to download the 3 gig "day one patch". Any game with a "day one patch" was not released complete as for the patch to be ready day one they had to start working on it and test/debug the patch even before the game went gold. Then there are the "season passes" which have content not finished...
@morganfell "I like MP but I would rather have a meaty, immersive title that is 8 hours long, moved me and made me think after I put down the controller"
8 hours?! Dude, that is a pretty short game. I mean you can easily beat it in two sittings, and one if you have a little more time. That proves how mission creep for games has set in. Games get shorter and shorter and we accept less and less. Pretty soon 4 hours will be a good length campaign for your $65.00 a...
@DragonKnight
The prices on steam are cheap for a simple reason, they are DRM filled digital only that you can't sell used or lend. You also don't really own them either. THEY dictate what PC you can use them on, change hardware and you need to ask permission to move them. They have control of "your" content.
@moldybread
Your NES argument is bad, sorry. The reason is the game market is HUGE today, much bigger compared to back th...
I didn't read this but season passes are evil and should be killed with fire. Buying them just incentivizes ripping content from the original release to sell it back to you in one of these ridiculous DRM filled download only "season passes".
Damn after reading the title I thought they may have added an option to turn off that ugly chromatic aberration. It makes the screen blurry and actually makes it look low res. CA also takes resources so shutting that off may give a few FPS more. Just a clean image would make the game look much better.
Does anyone know if this downgraded texture quality? Load times are long because it is loading data. Smaller data like lower resolution textures will load faster.
I also wish they would give an option to shut off that annoying image ruining chromatic aberration. I makes most of the screen a blurry color fringy mess.
Hint: It is not the PS4 or X1.
Of course it is PC. We will be lucky if the PS5 and X2 can look that good.
I am kind of glad they didn't tack on a crappy 4 hour campaign. If they did I would be tempted to buy it and then feel let down that I beat it in one sitting. Now that it is MP only I can easily pass on it and not even think of wasting my money.
It is kind of disappointing that there is no single player Star Wars game coming. I would love a true SP Star Wars campaign. Oh well maybe I will just play Dark Forces on the PS1 emu on my Nvidia Shield portable to scratch th...
I don't understand the preorder thing. Once they get a lot of money for preorders that just incentivizes them to release broken buggy glitch fests to meet a release date to avoid preorder cancellations.
It is not like they will run out anyway and the game could suck. pre-ordering seems kind of dumb.
I am one of them, I hate wooden computers. They should be made of METAL, wood is a fire hazard.
Ha, "video games". That term seems so outdated to me. When someone says "video games" I think of Pac-Man, Atari 2600, ColecoVision. It seems like calling cars "horseless carriages". Yea the term is correct but just sounds weird, is it just me?
Graphics add to the "experience" though. If a game plays well but looks like crap I might not buy it. If it looks great but plays like crap (like the Order) I won't buy it either. It matters but graphics aren't the ONLY thing of course. I buy all third party games on the PS4 vs X1 due to the better graphics/rez. I would go all PC BECAUSE of graphics but don't care to sit at computer desk and play with KB/mouse it is an ergonomics issue there.
It i...
Too bad the graphics suck in BB. It is way too aliased and blurry, especially on the sides of the screen. The blurry screen effect gives me a headache.
I can see the controller if you prefer that but the UI? How does that effect the game? You are basically picking a version of a game (with worse framerate and annoying screen tearing) based on the UI that you click through to get to the game? Ok.
The excessive use of chromatic aberration makes the graphics look terrible on the sides. It gets all blurry and color fringy. I don't see why they intentionally made the game look worse! It actually takes more GPU to get worse graphics! Get rid of the CA and you will get some FPS back as well as sharpness!

It is the overuse of chromatic aberration, makes everything look blurry on the sides.
You seem to think streaming is just as good as local, IT ISN'T. You have input lag, and you can have severely downgraded graphic fidelity and resolution and that fluctuates based on internet traffic etc. If you like playing something that looks and plays like CRAP then sure streaming is ok. As game resolutions and graphics get better (4K) this will be even worse.
Before someone brings up Netflix, Netflix is just a movie service (no input needed) so it is different as i...
It depends on what you mean by "the PC". I would bet that the majority of PCs out there aren't uber rigs sporting 4 Titan Zs in SLI.
Still though they did do something very deceptive. They will still sell millions of this game though. Gamers are weak, as long as it doesn't look like a PS1 game they can't help it and will rush out to buy this no matter what. I won't, used for me. I just downgraded my buying intentions.
