Then why bother making the trailer look like that when they KNOW the final game will not look even close to it? It is not like CDPR started developing a few months ago, they know what hardware can do. They knew the consoles were WAY to weak to do that and they also knew they weren't going to separately develop a far superior (and close to that trailer)PC version. So showing that trailer was blatantly deceptive. That practice should be discouraged not apologized for.

Yeah I guess NO game is complete and working these days and you wait for them to continue to work on the game months after release. Years ago they would actually TEST games before releasing them and fix most big issues BEFORE putting them on disc.
I guess if you don't have the internet you are basically shit out of luck with these always online consoles.
I wonder if this patch further downgrades the PS4 version. The first patch DID downgrade things a bit more just to get a few FPS more. Just google the pre-patch comparison to patched version. There is a noticeable graphical downgrade. It seems the better the framerate gets the worse the graphics get on consoles.
..And whatever they show in a trailer expect a huge graphics downgrade from that , even on beast PCs.

Not really it just looks...weird. The foliage spazzing out like that just looks dumb and unnatural. Whoever did the script file for how the trees move isn't very good at it.
I remember seeing a video about the game on a totally different subject and what popped in my mind is that the foliage moves really weird.
The problem is that probably means more downgrades on consoles. The game came out downgraded, then the first patch downgraded it even more, expect even more effects/graphic fidelity will be cut to get better performance. Pretty soon it will be smooth but look like a cartoon.
Not really. The X1 version looks considerably more blurred out. Look at the tree detail especially in the distance. The leaves are more defined and you can see individual leaves where as the X1 looks more blobbed out and lego-ish. This is probably due to the lower res.
Of course the PC is best with better LOD etc. The trees in the distance blow in the wind on PC but are frozen on X1/PS4.
Because the time of day is a bit different. The tree shadow is there just a different angle and spot. Look at the shadows on the building and on the X1, the fence area is also all in shadow but is not on the PS4. These videos show different times of day a lot, one where there is sun coming through the trees but the PS4 is a different time lacking the sun in that spot too. That doesn't mean the PS4 lacks sun!

Dude I game on PS4 only because I dislike the ergonomics of KB/M (hard to balance that on the chair in front of the HDTV).

They didn't HAVE to downgrade it, they chose to. It is very unfortunate. To me devs should take advantage of the hardware. Make it for a high end PC, then hack away at effects until it runs on the consoles. If that means a high end PC looks 1000x better than he PS4 they should still do it. The worlds are proceedural. That just means things are created by an algorithm rather than being a pre-made chunk of stored data. That doesn't mean that they are spooled off of the "cloud".
I would like a physical copy. Digital downloads are not owned, they are just a license to use, and that license can be revoked at any time for any reason. Online DRM sucks.

These consoles were released brutally weak. I mean 1.6 GHz CPU?!! What new PC runs that slow this day and age? Even cheapo Chinese netbooks flooding ebay are faster.
Both Sony and MS went cheap this generation and it is a big disappointment, they are already noticeably dated. One can barely eke out 1080p but at only 30 FPS and the other is hovering around 900p 30 FPS. Just terrible.

Who ever said these consoles don't REQUIRE an internet connection? Buy, bring home, wait an hour for the patch, then finally play a still busted game. So annoying.
