Looks good but with all of the bullshot trailers and downgraded real games these days I will wait for actual PS4 gameplay (not previews running on high end PCs) to get excited.
@otherZinc
All of these restrictions as to what counts as 1080p and 60 FPS. It needs to be AAA, needs to be exclusive, Needs to be current gen only, I am surprised you don't also say it needs to start with an "F" and end with "A" to count. This fanboy logic is laughable.
There are a bunch of 1080p and 60 FPS games on the PS4, more than on xbone if you just count games running on the hardware. Games are games, the hardware doesn'...
To render DOUBLE the frames in a second you would need to downgrade the visuals pretty significantly. It isn't just a matter of lowering the resolution a bit (which I don't like either) you also need to reduce other things like lighting, shadows, AF, AO etc. It would just look more bland to get the higher framerate, many decide it isn't worth it.
This game looks good now, hopefully it won't be downgraded too much like everything else these days.
As far as HDD Xbox wins hands down due to supporting external drives. I prefer the PS4 over all but PS4 not having external HDD support is dumb.
Good if you only want to rent games and play worse looking pixelated versions with input lag. It is cheap an convenient but the graphics and gameplay quality downgrade is not worth it for me. Used (and new) physical for me.
Some of the pop up is pretty bad on PS4 at least. This tool doesn't do that great a job if you want to avoid pop-up.
@Concertoine
At 60 FPS you need to render twice as many frames in a second over 30, that is not free. That is extremely taxing on hardware. It would take more than just going from 1080p to 900p, you would probably need to go down to 720p which is just hideous. To go to 60 you need to sacrifice A LOT of graphical effects and fidelity. TLOU didn't have all that many effects compared to native PS4 games and you had to lower shadow quality to get 60.

@ StoptheHate "keep that garbage and Sony will never see laura croft on Playstation again bye bye Sony your useless"
LOL, "stopthehate" irony much?
"Got bugs? Delay the game to iron them out"
Huh? They are STILL fixing the bugs in this game, some of which are pretty severe. It required a day one patch to fix some bugs and there are many still left. Then with each patch they are downgrading the ps4 version's graphics calling it "optimizing"(PC version is getting gfx upgrades though).
I don't understand all of the praise. The game is a buggy mess with game breaking bugs to the point of being unplayable for many. If you don't have an internet connection the game is truly un-useable. Those with internet get graphical downgrades with every patch, the graphics get worse and worse, at least on PS4.

Well for a game that I would be pouring many hours into I would like it to at least look decent. When you look at something and it makes you cringe (like those GameCube quality textures on that dog) it breaks immersion. I don't expect it to look like the Order or The Witcher but it should look better than a slightly improved PS3 game. They are not even making this for last gen and these new consoles have much more RAM. You would think they could at least do decent texture resolutions. ...
I wish they would have cared enough to release a working game on disc that doesn't require DRM filled constant patching to fix.
Why hell? You are disappointed you will get the much better looking version? The last gen version will look like ass, be glad you upgraded.
Well crappy graphics break immersion. This game doesn't look so great. The textures are low res and blurry and the colors look cartoony. Honestly the oversaturated cartoon colors make it look more like Borderlands than FO. I think they are overcompensating from those who complain that FO games look too grey. So now they amped up the color sliders to 11. Yes it is about gameplay but why can't the game have BOTH? It seems that people think you can only have one, good gameplay O...
Then you prefer lower quality. Nothing is free you get what you pay for.
Are there any graphics downgrades? That's usually how they improve performance. The first patch already downgraded the PS4 version a bit.
I never played AC-Unity but I liked playing those other two and beat them both.
Except Bethesda doesn't seem to do it that way. Look at Skyrim on the PC it didn't look as good as it should have, it looked like a console port. Modders had to come in and upgrade the graphics. It seems they do one set and just use that across the board.
Yeah Sony still hasn't learned that gamers don't want crappy indie games with PS2 graphics.
I never pre-order and don't see the point of it. It is not like you get the game any sooner. Now if pre-orderers got the game like 3 days earlier then I could see it. Since games are almost always such broken buggy messes at launch even that would not be much of an incentive. Still haven't bought the Witcher as it seems it still isn't out of beta testing. I also dodged the bullet with AC-Unity.
