Those textures look really blurry and low res. I think the reason is they started this game a long time ago and were going to do last gen versions. So they did all of the texture art with the paltry 256mb of video RAM the PS3 had in mind. Since then they may have decided to scrap the last gen versions but didn't want to re-do all of the textures.
Maybe because disc space? Also if they had to get MP working it may have delayed the game until next year and they wanted it out this year probably to compete with Tomb Raider.
I would buy a Skyrim remaster with all DLC included, maybe that is just me.
I am buying it because I was an X360 guy last gen. Now that I have the PS4 this will be the first time playing Uncharted games. Now I get to play them in 1080p. A no-brainer.
Yeah those textures are really low res. It looks like a last gen game running in 1080p. That dog has textures that could be found in a game cube game.
Probably 1080p @ 26-30 FPS on PS4 and 900p @ 30 FPS Xbone.
My worry is that like all Bethesda games(and most games now days) FO4 will have megatons of game/quest breaking bugs. Every game they make is a buggy mess. I could never finish FO3 on the 360 because the "water of life" bug where every time I would go through the door that you needed to the game would freeze at the loading screen. They never fixed it either.

FO NV I almost couldn't continue because I had the game save corrupting bug. They did patch later so ...
That is the Yennifer downgrade.
Fallout Online , the MMO.
"Stability" AKA blocking flashcards and region lock exploits.
I think Sony will be shooting blanks this year. They will try to fill in the conference with a bunch of filler indie games to make it look like they have a lot of stuff. I hate DRM filled download-only indie games. That won't cut it. They need big titles on RETAIL SHELVES this year or they will get crushed by xbone like last holiday. Microsoft has something Sony doesn't, infinite money. That will show at E3. I prefer the PS4 but I think they got lax and complacent.
@Pogmathoin
It is only inevitable if gamers fall for it. MS tried to go that way with always online DRM and the resulting backlash prevented it. The power is in our hands, if we don't buy it, it won't happen. If we are stupid and fall for it then we have ourselves to blame.
How about Alan Wake? That had massive Twin Peaks influence. The setting for one was pretty similar. AW had the "lamp lady" which was a reference to the "Log Lady" in TP. The "Oh Deer Diner" is a reference to the Double R Diner in Twin Peaks. There are actually many more references google to see.
I just hope they don't dedicate a half hour to a stupid cable show and another hour to download only indie games. That truly SUCKED the big one last year.
@ mkis007
Preordering doesn't cost anything because it is a BIG benefit to publishers. They get your money up front for a game that might suck or be so riddled with bugs as to be unplayable. Then they place a review embargo on the game so by the time you hear it sucks you own it. It is even worse for digital buyers because they can't sell or return to the store the piece of crap game.
Pre-ordering is almost a scam.
Of course they are pushing this. It has a lot of advantages, for publishers.
Cheaper to distribute = more profit. THEY control prices at all times, you pay what they decide to charge(gone are the cheap ebay deals, retail price competition). They can decide when a game expires when they pull it from servers. No lending, no selling or buying used. Kills retro gaming, no going back to play an old game unless you are lucky enough to still have it on a working HDD, must keep bu...
"crashing a couple times on Gwent".
Case closed.
Go read the issues, the game is a buggy mess. If you haven't had many problems you will, and if not you are extremely lucky.
And I guess everyone disagreeing likes buggy games.
No, get your facts straight. In the beginning of that "CGI trailer" the words "in-game material" were prominently displayed even though it was just a target render. That was a BLATENT LIE.
If you think the difference is hardly noticeable you need glasses. Go back and look at comparison pictures.
That is all this generation is. Lies, bullshots, downgrades, bugs, incomplete games, day one DLC, Season passes, Micro-transactions.
Meh. I have seriously pulled back my buying especially on day one. There is no point paying full price day one (pre-ordering even dumber) for a buggy piece of crap. It makes more sense to wait until they actually finish the game and by then the price will go down too.
It would be one thing if this game was the only broken bug...
Buggy incomplete broken rushed out games are he standard these days. This generation is so disappointing and that is the main reason. Woe to those without a good internet connection or one at all, this generation basically gives them the middle finger and leaves them out. Devs use the internet as a crutch for their crap coding.
Everyone else gets the annoyance of having to download massive patches all of the time and having to wait for them to arrive many times so they can...
