No they shouldn't have added co-op. Then it would have just been a short game with co-op.
Not every game needs online MP. What they should have added was more levels and gameplay elements.
There is always ebay or other outlets.
I will be waiting for this to hit the bargain bin too. Just not allot of meat on the bones with this game. Short and allot of cutscenes.
Sony charges for online. So does MS, what is the big deal there? Do you list MS charging for Live as a negative? No? Don't be a hypocrite.
As far as the game argument There are just as many decent PS4 exclusives as MS and the multiplats often look/perform better on the PS4. Only xbone has a "promising 2015 lineup" but all of the PS4 games are rubbish? Nonsense. Some would say the PS4 has better 2015 games but that is an opinion of the player so making a state...
They had to know though. They knew it was short, they knew it was a lot of QTEs and cutscenes as they probably were testing it for a while. I even heard they re-used boss battles. I mean really? They wouldn't know that this would be a negative? They should have stepped back assessed the game then did the right thing and delayed it to add more levels.
The concern at shows when they demoed it should have also tipped them off. It is like they knew but didn't care and...
I don't want to waste the time to click on the article.
What was the Easter egg? Actual gameplay?
And here I thought it was going to be an open world cel shaded first person shooter like Borderlands with co-op and MP, so disappointed...
Unless you don't care about online MP. MP doesn't need to be jammed into everything. This game is an SP experience, if you want MP go play Destiny or Titanfall or one of those.
The game is short as it is, if they had to do a whole MP game too due to limited resources the SP part would have been even shorter.
Adding MP to a SP game isn't the answer, adding more SP levels to extend the campaign would be.
11-12 hours is not that long for a campaign. It is still pretty short especially with all of the QTEs and cutscenes. This game should have been at least 15 hours.
I will get it but in the bargain bin for $29.00.
The biggest reasons:
Short.
Big black bars.
QTEs.
Physical. Then you can sell it after you beat it since it doesn't have replay value and isn't very long. I will just rent it, good for a couple of days entertainment.
Not for long, after you beat the game in a few hours you should still have plenty of time to watch the stream.
I would. Tacked on MP for a short SP game is not the answer, a longer campaign is.
I don't even like MP so even if the Order had the best MP ever known to man it would still not make up for the short SP game to me.
Yes 8-11 hours is short for a SP campaign especially with all of the cutscenes. You could easily beat it in two sessions without even trying that hard. By the time you get into it, it is over.
A minimum length for these should be 15 hours and best at around 25. I an playing DA:I and 8 hours was just the beginning part.
Unless you aren't online. Then you are stuck with a broken game. This one is only a little broken and some are a lot broken but they are ALL still broken.
Since it takes time to track down the bug, fix the bug, and test the bug fix to make sure you fixed it and didn't add other bugs they likely knew of the problems BEFORE they sent it out for manufacture. If they just found the bug after it went gold the patch would still not be out for a while as they would still ...
Now we are applauding day one patches as good because they aren't massive? It is like applauding the flu you had because you only puked once instead of 20 times.
There should be NO day one patches, especially for a short linear game like this. What does anyone do that isn't online with their console (I know a few)? These guys were bragging about how good their game was because it wasn't buggy. I guess a little broken is now OK, just a lot broken is bad now.
It would be funny and also impossible. The entire game video is up on youtube. There are no secrets here, everything is known. Nice dream though.
"How entitled we can be... "
So if we spend $65.00 for a game we should not be "entitled" to content worth the price? We should just except it even if it is super short otherwise we are being "entitled" and unreasonable. Wouldn't you feel jipped if you went to a full priced movie and it looked good but was over in 15 minutes?
I don't think it is so unreasonable to want to get your money's worth out of a title. A 5-...
The other scary trend is short games at full price.
The Order: I was watching a movie and was briefly interrupted by a moment of gameplay...
I think Knack at least was longer than 5 hours, and most of it was actual gameplay instead of cutscenes. Knack may be the better game.
@thorstein
That has to be one of the most far fetched pieces of logic I have seen.
4 tickets to the movies? Why 4? I like how some come to a conclusion then work backwards from there. I could say 20 Big Macs = $100 so that means that the Order costs less then going out for a burger.
4 tickets would be for 4 people. So by that logic you would need to buy 4 copies of the Order at $65.00 For 4 people that would be $260. Add more for the be...
