Simple:
1) DRM, you don't really own a digital game only a revocable license to use. If/when they pull the game from the server you no longer have access. When your unit breaks or you upgrade (Neo/Scorpio) you better hope the game is still online. A third party is the gatekeeper to "your" library, what they decide is law.

2) it is much faster to re-install a game from disc, less than 5 minutes on PS4, it can take HOURS to DL. Can you imagine upgrad...

Release a "definitive addition" on disc which includes all weather, tracks, and other DLC, AKA the finished version, and I would consider. As it is now the disc is basically a demo and the real game is basically digital download only to get the full game it was supposed to be. I don't like digital only games, so pass.

DRM sucks.

3456d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

That doesn't make it right. People like you have been conditioned to accept it so now everyone does it.

3456d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

No I expect the game to be in better shape before they submit for production. If that means waiting another month for the disc version so be it.

And if your hard drive or console eventually fails?

It is not like you can make backups of patches.

3456d ago 0 agree2 disagreeView comment

Too bad they couldn't have waited before making the physical release and include the fixes there. Now the disc will be a buggy incomplete version forever. Remember, the only version you truly own is the version on disc, the servers and patches will not be online forever...

Plus:

Announce a bunch of DRM restrictions on how you can use the games, Require an internet connection to use, under-power the GPU, Be cocky and complete arrogant dicks to your customers (#Dealwithit, don't like always online, get a 360 etc...).

'Cause it should be able to do 1080p at 60 fps with same graphics settings. Duh.

Yeah I am sick of rushed out buggy incomplete garbage with massive day one bug fix patches. Take your time and DO IT RIGHT!

If you want broken unfinished crap, buy a Ubisoft game at launch.

Scorpio because it is much more powerful. I got the PS4 because it is more powerful than X1 and shows in better graphics on many multiplatform games. The Neo is just too weak, Sony blew it this time played it conservative and cheaped out.

One thing is the xbox requires an internet connection the PS4 does not. You can play new games on the PS4 even with no internet because Sony includes the required OS updates on game discs. MS on the other hand requires you to go online to get updates. No online, no updates and therefore no games.

Many places in the world either have limited internet, slow internet and maybe have many people with no internet. In those areas the PS4 is usable, xbox is not convenient or no...

No.

If the games look like crap in comparison it will hurt it.

If all you care about is "the games" and not how they look then just get a cheap PS2 right?

I have to admit, you will look like an idiot with that thing on your head. I guess it doesn't really matter but lol.

That difference is also because 900p is non native res and not integer (it doesn't divide evenly with 1080p). Also larger pixel sizes are easier to tell the difference, as they get small enough your eye can't make out the difference as much.

To me I would much rather have better effects and draw distance than 4k. Yes the scorpio will be able to do better than Neo at everything. MS screwed up by making the xbone so weak, now Sony screwed up by making the Neo so mu...

Yes, as pixel sizes get smaller higher resolution has diminishing returns. It is much more important in PC gaming where you sit 2ft away from your monitor. On a traditional console setup of a TV 6-10' away the difference between 1080p and 4k isn't as noticeable unless you have a huge screen and very good eyesight. The difference between 900p and 1080p was noticeable not just because the pixels were larger and easier to see the difference but also because 900p was non-native resolu...

And you will be playing them on much weaker hardware.

Sony went full retard on this one. They went too conservative. They tried to cheap out on the PS4 as it originally only had 4 GB of RAM until they upped the spec after seeing how MS did it right. Now Df multiplatform comparisons will always read "With the Scorpio bringing superior performance as well as better shadows, lighting HBAO, and draw distance in comparison to the weaker Neo".

Now Sony will know what it is like to always be bringing up the rear.
