The 'feature creep' was the full game that backers and the devs wanted to make. The fact is that they stopped stretch goals a long time back to avoid feature creep. What else can be said ? It's all so subjective - what is good for the game and what is feature creep ?
The game is bigger, and will take a lot of time. People need to stop treating it as if it is still beholden to it's 2014 release estimate, which was back when even the online portion (the PU) was ...
Good, more ignorace. So you've also assumed that they're using crowdfunding money to buy luxury cars ? Right, ofcourse, because you know it's true.
You should write for the escapist.
Please compare the articles they wrote, to other well written, well researched articles by sites like The New York Times on working conditions in Amazon, for example. Compare the two.
Escapist's article was pathetic, and like I said they did not even wait ...
Such a lame, sad shitstorm.
Shame on escapist for stooping to new lows with that story. Ridiculous, they didn't even wait for a comment from CIG.
@Godmars290
No one expects anyone to do anything. You pay more for a gaming PC, you get more, it's that simple. Except console exclusives, which are pretty awesome a lot of the time.
Look, in terms of a consumer sorting out which games he/she would like, it's great. It makes sense, because some reviewers on some sites might just have different tastes.
Now, in terms of this whole 'clickbait' 'troll' sites thing... yes, it's stupid, and you can bet n4g users will be bringing that up as well to support silly arguments on why any site that doesn't rate a particular game well is a troll site.
yeah...
Over here, the moment a site doesn't review a popular game favourably, it becomes a troll 'clickbait' site overnight.
Whether it's Polygon, or Gamespot, Eurogamer, whatever. People pick and choose based on the reviews at the time, unable to accept the fact that some reviewers may have different opinions on some games.
All that aside, I actually really like Open Critic's system. It just makes sense - it gives better tools to the user...
Honestly, it's unfair to keep blaming Ubisoft for downgrades like that. It just so happened that WatchDogs and The Division had unlucky timing. Along with the Witcher 3, they were all revealed before console specs were even known. Later, when target hardware was known, they needed to tone things down.
It's really that simple. You can't call Ubisoft incompetent for downgrading unless you want to call CDPR incompetent too. The fact is, those were the only three gra...
I do believe they are implementing Unity's realtime Global Illumination solution, to some degree atleast.
At first I thought it was different gameplay from the E3 demo
Anyhow, being played live it was better. It showed some other aspects that otherwise you can't know. I really wish the video quality looked better than 240p -_-
not allow it ? why lol
@Foehammer
Yeah...
PCars has tire deformation, aquaplaning (although no 3d puddles).
"Tire heating cycles" that's been a core feature on PC sims for a long time. PCars has that too, ofcourse. The tire model in pCars is pretty damn advanced.
Exactly, and, I mean what about Bangladesh ? They've been waiting so long. It's quite sad, really. These development studio snobs won't bat an eye.
Honestly, the rain comparisons are getting annoying. It seems like that's the only thing people think about when they talk about how good DC's graphics are.
In reality, there's so much more to show about DC. The REFLECTIONS. What about the fact that there are literally FULL ON REFLECTIONS in DC, including self reflections of every part of a car ? Something that no racing game has right now.
GLOBAL ILLUMINATION. Prettymuch the best lighting in ...
just to be clear, the disagrees would like Online only better ?
which means to say you'd rather have online-only without microtransactions, than a game that you can actually play without having to be constantly connected to the internet, with microtransactions (which TONS of games already have)
Or was it just because it's distasteful to say "I'd rather have microtransactions than..." ?
I SINCERELY hope it's the latter re...
Well, you can expect better graphics too.
This does nothing for me. The game is still online-only.
Truth be told, I'd rather have micro-transactions than online-only.
Sorry, but it's shitty when it's on XBOX. It's shitty when it's on Playstation.
This year's E3, Sony won that prize.
XBONE or PS4, multiplats doing platform exclusive content is simply distasteful. Sure you can include PC there, but I'm not sure how often that actually happens.
Honestly, Morpheus sounded so much better... but hey, it's a non issue.
It isn't xbox exlusive. It's a timed exclusive
I have no idea why people whine about that. Seriously, you're going to get it anyway, and it's going to be a better version too !
Well, you have to be very skeptical of all this. The truth of the matter is, yes, there probably has been some mismanagement of funds, some problems in the work place. However, I strongly believe that this is really being blown out of proportion.
The original escapist piece on this is just sad. They posted the article (now updated) without including the response from CIG (They later gave a pretty lame excuse for that). It was sickening, honestly, the way they treated it, give...
