Oculus touch - basically controllers like PS move.
They won't be out for a while though.
I think it's easy to see why they're not building for Oculus right now. At the very least they'll need Oculus touch first.
Who ever said that ?
It should be obvious that one of the biggest advantages of PSVR is a bunch of high quality exclusive titles. That's always been one of the big draws of PSVR
Global Illumination is an included option. Interested to see how resource heavy it is, and how extensive it actually is in the game. Also, I wonder if consoles have that option turned on at some level
Well, I think 3 things
1) Detail and quality. They need to make it feel detailed and believable enough (It absolutely looks like this is the case with JC3) This means that when you grapple and wingsuit for the 1000th time, you can still appreciate it. It also has to feel realistic and grounded to some degree, so that the action seems significant and believable.
2)Variety - JC3, just like JC2 will have sooo many different ways of doing things

This is the only valid part of the whole downgrade fiasco with Watch Dogs, Division and Witcher 3.
For the PC,why did Ubi lock off working grahpics options ? Why didn't CDPR include higher options ?
For me, it comes down to this :-
Was it because of feasibility ? ie developing a massive project on three platforms and getting it out at the same time. Doing a special PC version with different graphics tech is difficult. If this is the case, ...
We CANNOT blame Ubisoft for the graphical downgrade. It simply was not their fault.
The reveal 2 years ago (2013) was BEFORE console specs were even announced ! Come on people, ofcourse it's not going to look as good as some monster PC build.
When console specs were released, it was less than what devs expected. Not trying to bash the consoles, they're great machines with fantastic games, but this is just a fact.
Just think. There were three ...
-It didn't make any sense and was completely unrelated to the rest of the franchise. In 10 minutes, literally everything changed, without explanation. Everything up till now just got thrown out of the window, being replaced by some unrelated theme.
-It was rushed
-It didn't make any sense
-It was full of gigantic plot holes
-It didn't make any sense
Anyhow, still an amazing trilogy. ME2 was the best imo. Mind blowing game... how ma...
Watchdogs was downgraded because
1)The reveal was running on a very high end PC
2) Console specs weren't even revealed at the time
What did people expect ? The fact is, the dev teams of all 3 graphically impressive games at E3 2013 - WatchDogs, The Division and The Witcher 3 ALL overestimated the new hardware specs, and ALL three downgraded their games visually. It's very simple to see that it wasn't their fault.
Sorry, but you ju...
The terrain itself is a bit underwhelming visually, but that's about the only complaint I have.
People calling it boring without having seen any actual gameplay aside from a stream showing off the buggy handling. If you take that stream for what it is, the stuff they showed was quite impressive. Exploration will have the same sense of awe and realism as the rest of Elite
As for the more exciting planet-side gameplay, here :

"Just Cause 3 isn't just about explosions"
right...stop kidding yourself xD
It isn't full destruction. It doesn't hold a candle to what was shown with Crackdown 3, which was orders of magnitude more complex and impressive, as you'd expect when you're pulling in multiple consoles worth of computing power.
Just Cause 3 is awesome and everything, but that comparison was unnecessary.
Well, let's just wait and see. They've got a bunch of games coming out this year and the next.
If the PC versions are very good, I will gladly attribute that to them being good PC devs, rather than chalking it all down to steam refunds
:)
The real kicker here is that they have micro-transactions affecting gameplay.
Atleast they could have limited it to cosmetic items without any stat gains like Dota 2. Evolve got so much shit for it's micro-transactions, when in reality it was hardly anything. It's distasteful, yes, but 100x better than screwing over the actual gameplay.
I don't get it, why ruin game balance when you can do what those other games do ?
Very intense. Great stuff.
Expect a lot of features by next year, but not the full release.
However, due to the sheer scale and complexity of the systems they've built out, I suspect whatever they put out will give lots of complex gameplay.
Animations themselves look incredible and lifelike. Full and natural deformation in every area of the face/neck.
Characters right now look shit, but that's simply because they're not even close to done yet. Lighting, skin textures, wrinkle maps, bloodflow maps. All these have to be sorted out. Hair isn't done either.
Also, Livestream quality. When the better version comes out on youtube, they'll look a little less like wax figures.
@frostypants
Watch it again, and you'll realize that it's because of a number of things :
1. Lighting. There were tons of lighting issues with the characters, also made the characters look flat
2. The characters aren't close to done yet. They don't have the wrinkle maps, the blood flow maps. Their hair isn't done yet either. They just aren't polished to begin with.
3. Low quality livestream video. Soon...
This is literally a dev talking about the game on twitter.
It's not his fault (or Bioware's fault, for that matter) there's some news article about it lol.
yeah, 60 fps is definitely worth it. Makes a big difference :)
eh, it'll probably eventually come to the Oculus Rift, later when they bring out the motion controllers (Oculus touch)
Right now, it's probably a really good decision to go with PSVR.
