I havent really followed Grounded much but I do love survival games but a lot of places never understand survival games. DayZ reviewed bad and was popular. Ark reviewed bad and in massive. Dead Matter is about to drop, one of the most ambitious survival games released and no doubt will review bad.

The problem is, reviewers skim though these games and give it a score. There's so many systems in these games. I've played Ark for 5 years now and still learn new things....

120fps is a waste of resources. I'd day that less that a quarter of all 4K TVs in people's households are capable of using it. Then you have the added fake advertising of 120 but it's not, it's some processing technique that works well for TV and film but causes a insane amount of input lag. As soon as you turn that process off it's back to 60fps. LG's is called TruMotion for example.

And this is why as much as I would love to see another Splinter Cell game, I do t want it to come out at the same time because Ubisoft only know how to make one game now with a different setting, era and characters in a open world full of side missions.

I know YouTubers get paid and sponsored for stuff so it can come across a bit fake but Jackfrags was surprised how In depth this game is but called out the, what sounds like lack of content.

Felix, them people would fall into the small minority. I got disagrees which I don't care about but we have to remember most of us here are more hardcore gamers, reading up on the latest news. The casual market are the biggest markets. They don't care for shit like FPS like us.

He'll you've only got to look at the set up threads on neogaf to see how bad some set ups really are lol

Not many people have TVs able to run games at 120fps. It's catering to a small pool of users. Yes it's cool that it can be done, but it seems like a massive waste of resources on console when the extra power could be used elsewhere.

Also let's not forget the amount of TVs out there that say they have a high refresh rate but I face it's just a image processing technique that give a smoother look overall but it's not 120fps and when that mode is used for ...

I'm waiting for Tekken 7 to do that too. I will not pay money for extra fighters when we used to simply unlock them.

There was nothing wrong with 2 except the cheesy, Americanised cliches. It was cringe but the gameplay itself was a million times better than the first game and a lot smoother.

From what I've seen from WD:L it's going down the Saints Row 3 route of being silly which makes it a no from me.

I'm really surprised you've been downvoted. It's not discredit to Max Payne 3. The gore was done well for the time and still looks great but the facial animations on NPCs dying, the blood spurts, the staining of clothes as you slit their throat, the gasping for air as you shoot someone's lungs, the flesh being ripped away as you die by a dog or clicker in The Last of Us 2 are a cut above because of the detail in death.

Tim it has nothing to do with fanboys. People who are neutral and Xbox fanboys have all said how poorly MS is handling this.

No one wants to spend £500ish on a console to play the same game they can already play on a console they already own with nothing more than higher fps and resolution because that's all it will be. You are delusional to think XSX is not being held back after that showing Thursday. I think it's quite evident made even worse by the fact that...

Sorry to piss on your chips but that weren't in game lol. Nearly every single game they've shown has started off with some CGI like video that then cuts to the gameplay (State of Decay didn't show any gameplay). I think it's working against them right now. The games look good but when showing CGI before hand it's going to look inferior lol.

That's true but they also said that the Series X wouldn't be held back by the Xbox One. As I said though it could be just the art style they used but I don't feel anything so far (30 minutes in) has looked "OMG THIS IS NEXT GEN".
This is going to sound fanboyish but I'd say that The Last of Us 2 has looked and animated better than most of these games shown here apart from the lighting.

It's good to see MS have quite a diverse library ...

Not being a fanboy here but considering Halo is their flagship, graphically, it doesn't look a whole world away from what we have now. It may just be the art style. Let's see what else they bring.

You are crazy to think that by raising the prices of games would mean no more MTX. They make more money from MTX than game sales themselves. The £10 price hike for next generation (games have already gone up £10 this generation to in the UK) is nothing more than greed.

People harp on about its costs more to make games now which is true, no one is denying that, but gaming is also a million times bigger than it's ever been. More and more people are playing game...

The bubble system didn't work as great as you seem to remember. You would still get that guy with one bubble spouting their hate for a game or console they had no interest in which would then open the comments to mountain of other childish replies from people who still had multiple bubbles. Just because the initial troll couldn't comment no more, a lot of other people would. You would also have them people begging for bubbles and writing replies they didn't necessarily agree with ...

Then don't buy a game about the bleak and harsh reality set in the apocalypse. It's a Great game and would be just as much if it hadnt had the gore.

Not every film a cutsie Pixar movie and not every game is a cutsie Nintendo game.

I dread to think what today's gamers would think if they ever got their hands on Manhunt 😂

Hmm. I hope it's not oddly structured. I loved the gameplay for both Days Gone and Borderlands but it can get confusing what the main plot sometimes is when instead of naturally taking you to the next main sorry mission, they take you to some random side mission or side story.

It was just as bad, if not worse when Sony unveiled the PS5. Fanboys will always be a thing.

Me personally, I won't ever understand how anybody can get excited with anything Xbox. After over a decade of disappoint it's hard to get excited. I really hope this is a new leaf for them. They always promise the world at the start of a generation then they lose traction and give up.

That was a old Unreal Engine 3 problem. Looked like everything was smeared in vaseline.
