Oh no, look at you. Youre going to throw your toys out of your pram because YOU didn't like a game someone else wrote and created... Do you know how backwards you sound right now?
I'm glad Neil said if he would make TLoU2 again, he'd do exactly the same thing.
It was shocking what happened to Joel but more props to them for having the balls to kill off such a beloved character. So many games, TV shows and films could learn from this.
Who's to say the IP was ever up for sale? There's hundreds of dorment IPs people would love to have back but that doesn't mean they're for sale.
Open world games need a massive overhaul in general. They all and mean every single one of them, follow the same core design of go here, kill this, clear out this base, collect this. It's boring. I used to love open world games but give me semi open linear games all day now.
Shadow Keep was dreadful and nit worth the money. People kicked off about the annual pass being the same price as the DLC for Forsaken so they introduced seasons which equates to more money than what you would have paid for the annual pass.
Destiny 2 is one of the most expensive games out there. You get so very little content for what you pay for and you all blamed Activision but the greed continues well after they left.
I'm not the biggest fan of Xbox. Their exclusives, UI and controller are not to my liking but the Gamepass is absolutely levels above PS now.
Sony need to cull a lot of the filler on the service which is unfortunately a lot, scale it back but get more heavy hitters on there than will want people to to subscribe. I would sub in a heartbeat if it offered anything in the range that Gamepass offered.
No Uncharted 2 train?
No MGS2 tanker?
No COD4 ship escape?
Nope. You're wrong. Easily one of the greatest games ever made.
I've started doing the same in the UK. The price of games have already gone up £10-£20. I will not be paying for any game at that price. This is why physical for next generation is a must for me.
There's absolutely no connection with COVID and lockdown. Stop making excuses for greed.
Games have become increasingly more expensive to make in comparison to 30 years ago but gaming is a million times bigger than 30 years ago with more people of all ages to sell products too. Then they have the cheek to add DLC, MTX and battle passes to keep you giving money. People really need to stop defending the price hike.
You've missed some good innovations within the BR genre since then two games. BR is still young so there's still plenty of ground to explore. The game gun fights reminded me a bit of the early quake/unreal days.
A lot of people will say the BR genre is over saturated when there's less than 10 mainstream BR games out there but they will happily jump for joy over another generic military FPS, another fantasy RPG, another open world game
Taste buds, we need to stop using the same old but game costs have gone up... So has the amount of people buying and playing games. These companies ain't making half a billion doller games and only appealing to the small percentage of gamers like the old days. Gaming is huge in comparison to the old days. Which would mean more potential sales.
If anything, upping the price of gaming is going to push people away.
Higher costs to produce games is a fact but let's realise that gaming is also the biggest it's ever been. It's huge. There's more gamers than ever which equal more potential revenue. It's not like theyre making £500 million games and still catering to less than 10 million people anymore.
Father_Merrin, if you're paying £50 for physical you're doing it wrong. If you're based in the UK use HotUKdeals.
TLoU2 £55 on the store, £42 physical a week after launch...
COD MW was £60 on the store, had it for £35 day one. The list goes on and on. Don't use GAME and you will save a shit ton of money.
Disk all day. I'd rather pay more for the console and save money buying cheaper games over the course of the generation than pay the rip off prices they charge on the store here in the UK.
Whilst this design is one of the worst of the fan made concepts, the official One X console for cyberpunk looks dreadful.
I personally don't like Fallout, Elder Scrolls and The Witcher. I don't try and pretend to like it to appease random people on the internet. That being said I understand that they are solid games, they just ain't to my taste.
Game-ur, how was it a arbitrary premise of the story? Are you one of them people who thought at the end of the first game Joel and Ellie went to that town and lived happily ever after during a apocalypse, full of infected and worse, humans?
TLoU2 whole story is set out and plain to see and it's an incredible story and one that don't feel forced at all.
If you want to play a boring game, play Red Dead Redemption 2. Then come back to The Last of Us 2.
TLoU2 is incredible.
Not facts. It's a opinion. One I very much disagree with. The story is incredible, the game play is second to none. Easy contender for game of the generation and one of the best games ever made.
People have been buying their games with great stories and characters but absolutely abysmal gameplay for decades. They have no reason to stop because people still buy them and give them undeserved 10 whilst other games have half of the problems and get scored lower.
Bethesda is a good publisher with Doom, Prey and Wolfenstein but as developers they're terrible. They need a massive shake up.
