Changing a disk takes all of 30 seconds and you would happily pay more for a game digitally of PSN it XBL than what it would be physically at a retail shop or a online shop, which is absurd to me. Physical media you can lend it, rent it, sell it, preorder it and get it early.

Disk drive is the option to go with if you want want to be ripped off when buying games.
Say if Sony or Microsoft decided to totally ditch the disk drive. You would have to play full RRP on new released games from their own store with no competition on pricing. This wouldn't be like PC where everything is digital but there loads of stores competing for customers meaning there is competitive pricing.

Most maps are started with basic shapes and assets to create a rough idea of lanes, lines of site etc. Map designers aren't art designers. All the bells and whistles come afterwards when the art team get to work. This is very much how most games start out from UE4 and Unity to Dreams.
