Skyrim does feel awful. Most things in any Bethesda SW developed game usually is but there was games that get melee combat right. Condemned 2, Dying Light and Virmintide 2 being some of them.
I love the FPS RE games but I feel they should be a spin off in someway. Not a mainline numbered title as great as they have been.
Tbh Cyberpunk, even in its current state a lot more fun than the mundane Witcher series.
You've clearly not played Hitman for a very very very long time.
What?! You clearly missed the the whole premise of what TLOU2 was, either that you haven't played it and is being another sheep making noise about one of the greatest games ever told. Was it as good as the first? No, but it's still one of the greats that deserved every bit of acclaim the game received.
Lack of content is why I gave up on D2. The expansions are expensive for the very little content they provide. Adding old missions/planets, boss types, weapons from the first game under a expansion was the end of the line for me.
Great game but I feel its ruined by the greed of Bungie that was disguised as Activations greed for years.
I agree with the Ubi bashing thing. They deserve it much less when there's publishers such as Bethesda existing.
I disagree about them being innovative though. They make the same open world style games for a vast majority of their games with the samey missions and structure. They change the setting, era and POV and call it a new game.
Ironically one of their most successful games this generation was R6 Seige and that didn't follow their tired for...
It's already been fixed
I too feel the same way about open world games. As a adult, I'm bored of them where as a kid I would get lost in then for months. Far to many follow the same game design and mission structure. I don't want to waste my time doing the same thing for hundreds of hours that I've already done in other games but with a new setting or POV.
I'm tired of games forcing open worlds at this point.
Of all the games available on Steam, this mind numbingly boring chore of a game wins GOTY? 🤯
The sad reality is is that almost all AAA open world games follow the same gameplay choices. Fetch quests, kill quests and clear camp quests with some added uninspired side missions to make the game feel longer. Add some kind of skill tree and I've just listed nearly all AAA open world games this generation.
Where is this energy when Bethesda release a bug ridden, ugly, poorly animated and acted game over and over again? Bethesda get a free pass whilst doing everything CDPR has done wrong and a lot more but still most of you will buy ES6 and FO5 with your rose tinted glasses on.
Why when people forgive Bethesda over and over again. Everyone moaned about Fallout 76, not because of of its awful gameplay, graphics and bugs like every fallout before it developed by Bethesda, as soon as the next Fallout single player game comes out or Starfield or ES, everyone will lap it up again, bugs or not.
I wish Bethesda would also get this treatment too. They've had a free pass for decades.
This game with its technical problems and bugs is heaps better than any Witcher game gameplay wise.
2K would have been just as bad as EA buying them out. 2K get a free pass whilst being just as vindictive as EA and are in some ways worse.
The utterly boring RDR2 got near perfect scores. If that says anything, it tells you never to believe review scores.
This game was announced before the PS4 and Xbox One was even out.... Just because it's dated hardware it does not make it obsolete when countless games are still pushing what these consoles can do 7 years on.
I work for the biggest retail tech company in the UK and I agree with you that 8K won't become standardized any time soon. It's actually eye opening how many people are still content with buying cheap, full HD TVs believe it or not.
8K is beautiful to look at in the demos the TV manufacturers send us but when it's nearly 2021 and 4K is still barely supported outside of a few select streaming services, we have a long way to go before 4K content is widespread let ...
This. Sony have also stated that just because there was PS4 Pro this generation, doesn't mean it will become the norm going forward.
Well deserved indeed. I pray that ND weren't put off by the very vocal minority who done nothing but shit on the game and that we get to see The Last of Us Part 3 one day.
That cliffhanger needs addressing 🙏
