One of the first XBLA games I ever bought. Pretty decent if you ask me.
No, it's done through the XMB. You press the PS button, go to your music and select what you want to play. That's how it works. I would know this, I've done it many a time only to see the "Music cannot be played during the use of this game" message. Very occasionally, though, some games do let you play music. The best example of this is singstar, it's the best because it's the most pointless use of the feature.
Sony doesn't supply free dedicated servers, if that's what you're getting at.
Eldon3 that's wrong. Look at the games that DO support "ingame music". It's accessed through the XMB. Some let you do it ingame as well, but titles exist that DO work from the XMB, so what's going on there?
And more to the point, why is it only certain titles support it? Why not ALL new titles?
I'm looking forward to it as well, but I'm a little concerned as the developer, Ruffian games, was only officially formed earlier this year and they're expecting a 2010 release date. Seems a little fast for a sandbox game, but then again the developer is made up of many experienced people so who knows.
Xbox Live supports dedicated servers....Left 4 Dead runs on dedicate servers....
What? That's complete rubbish, otherwise NO game would be able to playback music, but the occasional rare one does. Why does Microsoft manage to get the blame for something that's blatantly up to Sony?
"That's weird considering how closely the architecture of the 360 is to a PC."
Will people stop with this uninformed gibberish? The architecture of the 360 is about as far away from a PC as a Wii or a PSP is. The PS3 is very different from a PC, yes, but it's also very different to most previous consoles as well.
When people compare the 360 to the PC, and by people I mean actual developers, they're not talking about the architecture, they're talking about the DEVE...
I want to be able to listen to my own music from inside ANY game! Currently it's game-specific and even most new games don't support it =\
Who's actually defending them? Point me out the 360 owners you're referring to. Or, you know, if you're going to troll, try harder?
You sound like a disgruntled PS3 fan that's annoyed because your favourite dev studio abandoned you for money, but have you seen the games Squeenix have done this generation? You really have no reason to be upset.
I wonder if this is what Halo: Reach is all about? Theres nothing solid about the game, just some rumours that it's a sort of sandbox title. You know, a bit like an MMO is?
Or it could be something entirely different. I actually hope this is the case, because from what we know, Halo Reach is a major project (Apparently it was in development before ODST was) and an MMO would also be a major project. Having two major projects would be pretty sweet.
We also know that Microsoft...
Final Fantasy 13? The game that hasn't been released yet, in any country or on any platform, but has a PS3 Demo and was shown running on a 360 at E3? That Final Fantasy 13?
What about the dev that makes the most money?
I mean, say what you want about Valve, but they're hardly swimming on the verge of bankruptcy these days, are they?
Multiplatform games aren't "Made" for one console, then ported to another. Most of the time, they're developed side-by-side with one platform being the "lead" platform.
You make it sound like Ghostbusters was finished on the PS3 months and months ago, then ported to the 360 (or vice versa) while the PS3 code sat on ice. That's just silly.
"and how much money it would all end up costing me"
Uhhh....3 year warranty?
You've changed your argument from "You killed the xbox1 off quickly enough!" to "You released shoddy hardware and cost me money!". It sounds like you're trying (poorly) to troll. Why not do it in the Open Zone where people might care?
They share a similar premise, but that's about where the similarities really end with both games. They're both great in different ways.
Errr...what an odd article. Achievements are bad because people will see what you're up to? The PS3 is better because it's harder for people to find out?
That's one of the most absurd things I've ever heard on this site. It's not Microsoft's, or Sony's or Achievement's/Trophy's fault that you're incredibly insecure.
Did you even read the bloody title of the article? The exact quote is "Not Even Halfway". Not EVEN half way. Try again.
Don't forget C&C/Red Alert/Red Alert 2 for some of it's awesome tunes! Frank Klepacki is amazing!
